DECEMBER 3
I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: and I prayed.
Daniel 9:3,43And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: 4And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; (Daniel 9:3‑4)
This is dedication and determination in earnest prayer. This is REAL humility. Israel as a nation had sinned and gotten away from God. Daniel took that sin as if he had done it and confessed it to God. “Daniel was a man of prayer,” we often sing. He was also extremely dedicated to the Lord.
