Our Father . . . give us this day our daily bread.
A popular theme of modern-day educators is that you can do anything that you set your mind to do. One thing they forget is that, for the Christian, the direction of our lives is controlled by God, not ourselves. Even our daily food is a gift from Him. We must always recognize that without Him we would have nothing and we can become nothing. If you do well (in your career), it is only because the Lord helped you to get to that particular position. God is our life. Everything comes from Him and we should always remember that we are totally dependent on Him for everything - even for our daily bread.
