Is that smart?
15th chapter John, verse 10.
Let me keep my commandments. He shall abide in my lungs. Even I have kept my Father. Command and abide in His love.
These things might spoken on you, but my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
This is like a man that he loves one another and I have loved you.
Pray your love have no man to me, for the man laid on his life with.
Here are my friends if you do whatsoever I command you.
Ten fourth high volume of services or the servants knoweth not what is lower doing, but I have called you friends for all things I have heard of my father, I have made known I'm here.
We have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you. Then you should go and bring points and if your fruit should remain.
And whatsoever you shall have to revolve in My name, He may give it to you.
Do you think I command that you love one another?
If the world hates you, you know what It hated me before it hates you.
If you were of the world, the world would love his own, but because you're not of the world, but I have shown you out of the world, therefore the world hated you.
Remember the word that I said of you. The servant is not greater than his Lord.
If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you.
That they have kept my pain. They will keep your also.
All these things will do unto you for my main thing, because they know not in the sentence.
Not common under there. They have not had since, but now we have no clothes for their.
Tapes me pages like hard also.
If I have not done among them the words that none of the man did, they had not had sins, but now have they both seen and taken both me and my father.
For this cometh to pass, but the word might be fulfilled written in their own.
They hated me without a call.
But when the comforter it comes tomorrow, then the view from the brothers be the spirit of truth which proceeded from the Father. He shall testify of me, and He also shall bear with me, because He did with me from the beginning.
Something chapter and the 11Th verse.
Hello, I am no more in the world, but he are in the world, and I come to thee.
Keep to my own name so do not give me at any one at the arm while I was working in the world I kept in my name.
So that I'll give you I am next and none of them is lost for the summer tradition because the scripture might be fulfilled.
And now I come to thee, and these things, I've taken a word that they might have my joy for building bells.
May I have your brother?
Received yesterday. Not supposed to get occupied.
The comma is speaking to me this morning about the section.
Modeling buying the secretary and the college that you would mind for reading that I think it would be an increase.
Time is Israel, Ephesians.
00:05:02
And a bind is no use unless it bears through.
The big tree is Israel nationally.
Set aside as such to be restored.
And be the center of government glory for the earth.
And leave.
That all of Jesus, Israel.
In the face of responsible testimony.
They failed.
In those three ways.
But all is to be made good.
By the Lord Jesus Christ, and they will have to own their complete failure and to praise Him for His grace.
That will bring them into the pleasantness of it, and be the root from which all the fruit will come.
Now, Speaking of our chapter for a minute, it was just regular.
When you go to Isaiah 119.
If he be willing and obedient, we shall eat the good of the land.
Our time speaks slowly because I believe the importance of it.
The moral ways of God do not change with dispensation.
And this is a moral principle. It is always true.
If you be willing and obedient.
For the will is the root of all sins. I would return to John 12.
And the last version, the chapter.
And you do well to meditate upon what is brought out in this verse.
And I know.
That his commandment is light, everlasting.
That means this.
That eternal life.
Is characterized by the spirit of obedience.
The new nature is always obedient, never otherwise.
At all the exhortations that you find in the New Testament, without any exception whatever.
Founded upon what you present.
Never that getting the thing by any effort of your own.
God has given us a new life and a new nature.
And that new nature is characterized by obedience.
That's the meaning of that in John 12 verse 15. Meditate on it, and I know that His commandment, His life, everlasting. That brings you to the verse that our brother read in John 15.
All the commandments.
I never got cleared up from that.
What is the full commandment in First John 28?
We'll read it.
We begin at verse 7. Brethren, I write no new commandment of you, but an old commandment which he had from the beginning.
The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the beginning. Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which is which thing is true in him and in you. Because the darkness is past, it should read his passing.
And the true light now shining the old commandments was.
That which was manifested in Christ as man down here.
It is now in Christianity.
Through in him and in you. Why?
Because Christ is our life.
And possessing that life we have.
00:10:02
The very nature of God.
And so in John, the new life cannot sin.
Cannot sin. You'll see that in first John 3.
And.
The ninth verse.
Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin, for deceive remaineth in him, and notice his disease remaineth in him because.
The Believer.
As being a child of God can never be lost, not only can never be lost, but that life remains in Him.
And every time we sin, we allow the old nature to act.
Now then that will turn me.
To Romans 8:00 and 2:00.
The law. Read that, if you will, to make it clearer and.
For the ruling principle of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
That made me free from the ruling principle of sin and death.
Why does it say the spirit of life? The life is the nature, The spirit is the power.
The life is the nature, the spirit is the power.
And every believer.
Possesses that life and that power.
Now notice the 13th, 1St, the 8th of Romans.
For if you live after the flesh, he shall die.
That's the course pursued and where it ends.
But if ye through the Spirit.
To mortify the deeds of the body you shall live.
A once read in Mr. Darby a remark The Pitney. I've never forgot it.
He said you want to know why you sinned, He said I'll tell you why because you want to.
That hit me hard, but it's true. Every believer has a new life and a new power.
Why do we fail? Because we do not look up to Him for power to overcome.
The flesh.
Delights in having its own way.
But the new man cannot sin that every believer.
Is equally blessed of God.
I haven't the blessing that you haven't got.
Every God has no favorite in his family.
Every believer is equally blessed. You have that nature just as surely as I have, and you have that power just as surely as I have.
I've never, never make any excuse for your failure.
Never, for you've got the power for victory if you'll only turn to the Lord and ask Him for grace to overcome.
Oh, it's important. And I repeat, because of the importance of it.
That we have possessed that power.
At every exhortation of scripture without any exception whatever.
Is founded upon what to possess. It is never getting the thing by your own efforts.
Elaborate, brother Brown are you? Correct me when I go wrong.
I was thinking in connection with your Speaking of obedience because what we have in the first chapter of first Peter.
And the second verse.
Elect recordings of the foreknowledge of God and Father.
Through sanctification of the Spirit, that is, we set a mark by the Spirit of God.
I'm through the old medium and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.
Grace unto you, and peace be multiplied.
The thought of obedience comes in at the very first.
00:15:01
The first obedience.
On which we're ever capable that pleases God is obeying his obstacles. That's the first obedience that ever pleases God.
Say the gospel, Well, how do we obey it? Spices. Let him do it by accepting what God predicts. Do it, and then happening then brought into the family, the Spirit of God has sanctified us to the same kind of obedience with which the pleasant Lord Himself obeyed when he was here. It was not illegal obedience. It was a delight in doing the positive will.
But it was always obedient.
Don't forget that 12 Chapter of John and that verse.
You just can't remember it. Put it down.
I know his commandment, his life everlasting. That isn't understood by most Christians.
But it means this, that the life everlasting that we possess is characterized. Its very nature is obedient.
And it has to be, it has to be otherwise. But it's not listening to that life everyday individual relaxed regarding the foreknowledge of God is all of God every day.
Just so.
They.
Example that and the conversion of all kinds.
The first thing, that's all Carson said When the light shone upon him, he said, Who art thou, Lord? When he said, I am Jesus?
Why don't he says, Lord, what will thou have me to do?
What is the life of obedience immediately?
That has displayed.
On that one Peter of Christ.
First yielding to crisis is Lord is followed by obedience to His Word.
Will thou have thee to do?
We can distinguish.
Life and faith that we can't separate themselves by me.
Apart from the suffering work of God and the souls, there will be no acceptance of the Gospel at all.
But if the connections are the acceptance of the gospel that we find that life is brought into being, it's by the Word. We can distinct these things, but we must separate them right now. Take a look.
Chapter 11.
And verse.
34.
This is the first that enables us to test.
What comes before us?
In our daily life.
Life through this wilderness world.
The light of the body is the eye, therefore when thine eye is single.
Thy full body is full of light.
What's the single eye?
It means that we desire the Lords honor and glory and that and that only.
That and exact only then the whole body is full of light. Introduced any hard and there's darkness. Now another remark. Saints have heard time and again where to keep the flesh in the place of death.
But don't forget where to keep the mind in the place of death as well as the flag.
Not only the flesh, but the mind.
Saying the 2nd Corinthians 10 and they'll tell you that.
Verse 5.
Casting down.
Not imaginations, but reasonings.
Why do you reason when scriptures brought before you? Generally speaking, we can say because we don't want to give up our own will.
Don't want to give up our own will but passing down reasoning.
00:20:02
And every high thing that he thought of himself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. Now turn over to the 11Th chapter.
And the third verse.
But I fear.
Lest by any means of the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety.
So your minds, MINDS not your place.
So that so your mind should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
What does that mean?
Why? It just means this?
That team began to argue.
And the certain procedure, the simplicity that is in Christ means this, that we obey the word of God without reason. Now I'll give you an illustration of it.
The Lord was tempted, wasn't in the wilderness.
Command that these stones be made red. Well, if the Lord agrees, he'd say what time and turning stones into bread and I'm hungry and if I do it I'll show my power to these people. But no, the Lord wouldn't turn those stones into bread because he and the command from the Father to do it.
That's the meaning of that sentence.
The simplicity that is interest.
Walked in my path of perfect dependence and obedience. The Father's will was his past. Is that right?
Poor brethren, I can't help with that. I can't help for that. If we'd walk in that path, we'd have his blessing.
If you'd be willing and obedient.
He shall what? Go to heaven when you die? No, it's the good of the Lamb.
He's the good of the man.
Others blessing in such a path.
Rich blessing and the blessing of the Lord maketh rich what Saints bring him to their lives through.
Reason and disobedience makes my heart ache.
Makes my heart ache as I feel for one another. If you be willing and obedient, all that would make go away. Meeting with the real purpose of heart to walk to please God till Jesus comes for us. And then we read that the portion of the 81St Psalm.
The 81St Psalm, reading from the fifth verse.
I am the Lord thy God, with drop thee out of the land of Egypt.
Open dry them out wide.
And I will fill it.
But my people was not heartened to my voice.
And Israel was none of me.
So I gave them up under their own heart love.
And they walked in their home councils.
All that my people had hearkened under me.
And Israel has walked in my way. I should soon have subfield their enemies and turn my hands against their adversaries. The haters of the Lord to the submitted themselves under them.
But their time should have endured forever.
He should have fed them also with the finest of the week, and with honey out of the rock. Should I satisfy these?
That completing of the heart of God over a willful and independent people.
For a long debate.
But they would not be blessed. I'm glad you read it, it's good. And what's your favorite thing? But if I'm Egypt is the type of the world.
Brought the out of agents and go away. Could apply to ourselves this morning.
That those who have accepted the Lord have been brought out of this world.
And we pause in that reading, in our captures in the 19th first of our chapter.
00:25:10
If he were of the world, the world would love his own. But because you are none of the world, but I have told you out of the world, therefore the world hated you last go from you out of the world.
So the question for burning all is this, that the Lord has brought us out of the world, is he capable of satisfying now that.
We're separated from this world is under judgment. Well, the answer to the question is this open my mouth wide and I will tell it that is if we look to the Lord if we're hungry and thirsting for.
Of the precious ministry of His word. We can be certain of this, that we're not going to be disappointed. The question is, are we willing to open our mouths wide?
Everywhere that real design our hearts that we might enjoy these things.
And I believe rather, that the reason why we see that departure and such as drifting into the world about it is because we're not opening our mouths wide.
They're just talking them the other day.
Recently about the fact that we don't find the same reading that helpful ministry and the way we once found in reading it the books we find left on the shelf.
That was minister to the soul I know about. Sister once said to me that was getting away from the Lord. Lord, she says the meetings are so dry, there's no ministry there. I don't care. When I saw all of those lovely books from PHMS, I said what about the ministry there? Are you enjoying that ministry?
Well, if we make yourself of this ministry I have they would be such articles would be so fed that there would be no desire for these empty things that belong to Egypt. In other words, it's like the children of Israel desiring the leaks and chorus of people and.
Forgetting all about the terrible and awful bonding that they were under the true past masters.
That abuse them they forgot all about them and just thought of all those weeks and gardens. But let me we just take this to heart. Open your mouth wide. Really enjoy the ministry and we're receiving from his words at this time.
For real design, we want to be at all the meetings and then after very far neglecting the word for that should be read every day and then the helpful.
Books that can be purchased, if you haven't that ministry in your library and get those books, get magnetized down and read it. Get the whole family's books down.
Welcome books, books that are found and you can depend upon the ministry and if we read those books instead of reading magazines.
Entertaining ourselves in other ways, I think you would feel a real.
Revival blessing among the things of God.
I suppose it's not a very that when we were saved became because of our need to be done and there has to be a need in our heart.
Desire to work, but if we fill our lives with other things, we can't have the vessel building 2 Things.
Man, well over 15 years ago we had an expression that we use.
Not exactly as scriptural expressions, but the idea is certainly scriptural. You can talk about your family all.
And great stress was laid upon.
What they met with that expression was the reading of the word in the family circle, the reading of the words and prayers God every day. And they, they thought me among the various denominations in those days. They knew what that meant. The family followed. But isn't it a city?
That the idea has been left split and that there are homes today.
00:30:06
Among gathered Saints where the family never gotten together as a family.
Read the words and bow the knee together in prayer. I believe it's the real loss to the whole family.
Question that do well for mothers and fathers to put to their children when they say what is the harm in it?
Is this is it the old nature wants it or the new?
Got the answer as quick as that.
And you connected with the 76 attendance convenience.
We're going to be writing the same in the 5th chapter of Hebrews, the 7th and 8th and 9th verses. We have there perfection and dance.
Dependence and obedience is seen in the Lord Jesus and fastly down there Demand, yes.
The captain of our salvation, and in that direction.
And saw my brother Brown was referring to killing the digital and their pathway in the wilderness.
In Hebrews 3.
And we have the set to decline. We have first the heart rate of the heart, then the airing of the heart, and then the wicked part of unbelief. And so it doesn't always happen just at once, doesn't that step by step.
But the neglect of the word and neglect of the words, and it's a serious thing.
It just gives a sense for Satan to come in with these dark and he finds the joints in the arms.
I was thinking to Solomon tried all this warning of the world and he had to wait until he had the money because silver was like stones in Jerusalem.
And what did you say about insanity and vexation and spirits? And I'm sure we've all met, man. I have met lots of men, millionaires, some of them all kinds of money. They weren't happy, they weren't satisfied. They never satisfied anybody.
But wait will satisfy. I explained the tour and didn't even know the truth that we know it and that's what's happening. They don't need your life fire happier than the main airplane.
Right. Yes, there are three ways that the world presented to us. Babylon. Babylon is the world religiously.
That can draw the heart away.
The battle of angels. That's the world in independence of God.
And there's fire. That's the world and it's wealth, and it's displayed in its power.
And all these things and all these aspects, the world is the world.
This is God's religiously and Satan is expressed politically and there's nothing but the enlightened odds anointed will be eyesight with Holy Spirit that can ever give any of us to the learns of real character of the world to lose. We never find it and the books of man written after the wisdom of man never it's only the word of God.
That gives us the true estimate and the true values of the world in these three different aspects.
Did you ever think of of moral corruption?
I go with what's your face. That's and religious corruption, fire, commercial corruption and any moral corruption. And Egypt is the world in its glory. Independence of God, yes. They didn't look to God for the rain. They they wired their crops with their foot.
Humanity Independent.
All, beloved brother, your cat walk in that path of obedience without being happy when you turn to 2nd Corinthians.
Corinthian.
6-7 and eight.
The 6th chapter of the 10th verse.
As sorrowful.
Yet always rejoicing.
Now the 7th chapter.
00:35:02
And the fourth verse.
Great is my boldness of speech toward you. Great is my Lording of you. I am filled with comfort. I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulations, all that question.
Why did he say in the 6th chapter?
Always rejoices in the next chapter.
He is exceeding joyful. Why that difference?
Well, it's just this in the 6th chapter, it's because of the state of the same current. And those of us who have the Saints on our hearts sometimes are soluble because of their state, but sorrowful yet always rejoicing. But in the next chapter, it's not the things, it's his persecution from the world.
And thus it is he. He's exceeding joyful in all our tribulations.
Teach your children.
That if they walk with God.
They must expect to be misunderstood and persecuted.
But if it is persecution, for Christ sake.
It will be exceeding joyfulness in the soul.
Now, if you want that corroborated, turnover to first Peter.
Chapter 4.
And Peter gives you the government of God in the House of God.
In the third chapter and the 14th verse he says, But if you suffer for righteousness sake.
Happy are you?
In the 4th chapter in the 14 first, if you be reproached for the name of Christ.
Happy are you?
I'm glad in the grace of God that God gave us the Father that taught us to expect persecution, but to be sure if it was in the path of obedience, it would be blessing from his hands.
And that's been I proved.
And this 1St, 4th after first Peter and the 14th version that's called our attention to. I've enjoyed this thought when I hit home. It can be reproached for the name of Christ. Happy are you?
For the spirit of glory and the thought rest upon you.
The various fact that I am being reproached for Christ marks me out of the candidate for Lord.
I've enjoyed that thought. The Spirit floors and the God rest upon you.
Why does Peter speak that way?
Each epistle has its own character, and I'll tell you why.
Peter gives you the government of God in the House of God.
And thus it is that while you're approached from the name of Christ.
Like Enoch walked with God and before his translation he had this testimony that he pleased God.
Peter always points your arm to the end.
Because when he comes, then it will be made manifest who have walked with God, and they'll have a special place of blessing of the fruit of it. That's why it's the spirit of glory, because he's prophetically looking forward to the time when the Saints will be owned of God.
I remember the way.
The light of this chapter for us.
And in my first part, you get a lighting in Christ and then you get.
Love for the brother to see the welfare. This is my commandment, that you love one another because I love you. And then in the last part of the chapter, we get the end to feel the world.
Or you get those 3 something through the portion.
Abiding in Christ, love for the private and the end of their world.
And we see a divine order there.
If we're abiding in Christ.
Fighting is right. Very first. There will be love for the brother.
I'm sure the more we enjoy in the ministry that we're receiving.
00:40:02
The more fellowship we have with our brothers in Christ, but when they go away from these meetings and go back to our climate and meet the world.
You'll have to find the hate of the world if we think to be loyal to Christ, to be a testimony for Him.
The strongest condemnation of man that you'll find in the whole Bible.
Using the end of this chapter.
I'm the first time in the Bible that you find the root of man under judgment.
Is in John the Baptist preaching in Matthew?
Below the action made.
To the root of the tree.
Ambassadors in the 6th of John, it says.
4 little words that are tremendously important.
I'll make this remark, brother, and the one that helped me immensely in scripture is to get the character of each book.
Each book now brings John 6 and verse 63.
It is the spirit of quickness. The flesh profiteth nothing.
The business Did you come to John's Gospel?
But to get the world completely under judgment, and we called out of it the flesh profit of nothing means.
That all God's culture and tutoring of these people.
Never produced any proof.
You must be born again, not only in order to be saved, but before you can bear any fruit.
Why you can bear any fruit and what is being opposed today?
Even amongst evangelical Christians is the fact.
That there is no hope for this world and the Christianity is not a moral force to build a better world. But Christianity is gathering out of the world of people for the Father's house in glory, and we don't belong to it. We're not honest.
We're a heavenly man by birth, and the fruit of the heavenly man is the word of God.
Other hair will just say that well first pictures us that we can't love one another too much.
That's true.
And you may get a lot of right the passive knowledge, doesn't it? So we're still here.
This is his commandment that he loved one another.
As I have loved you.
So there's no limit to it, is there? And that's why when our brothers failed, we could be ever ready and willing to forgive.
My brother sinned against me. The Lord says not till 7 seven times, but till 70 * 7.
And I never.
And it's definitely kind of death in one day.
The day that.
490 years. December, Daniel.
It was not a little louder, brother. Sorry my wife.
Hey he said our brother asked the question 70 * 7 is 490 and he asked is there any connection between that and the 490 weeks and Daniels prophecy. I have no thought as to it and some other path.
But cultivate A forgiving spirit. It's important.
Very important.
Never dwell on the tailors of your brethren.
But try and see what is of Christ in them.
While walking in separation from every form of evil ourselves.
We are to have the love of Christ as the motive spring.
00:45:07
Of all our service.
And criticism is the loudest God.
In order to test us for self.
Improves so subtly that we don't realize that it is there.
Until, perhaps, some criticism brings it to light.
What are you to do then? Judge your brother? No, judge yourself.
I suppose we learn an important lesson in connection with the way Joseph received his presence. Joseph had fully forgiven his friends for all their school treatment and spelling in this region. But Nova couldn't display his love to his friends until they were humbled and had fully consented their sins. And as soon as there was a full confession of their in why, then he put his arms around and received and welcomes them.
Never said one resourceful word about the way they had told him I was placed down as he saw there are cases in connection with assembly affairs where we have to, as it were, have on the have the rest girded with the golden dress. The brother gets to say that's the next Two's restraints. That is if a brother is going on badly.
We can't show our love to him because we might encourage him to continue in that wrong course newspapers. But as soon as there is some patience, by then there's the opportunity to show the love that should ever be in the heart of the thing.
Doesn't it?
The first thing was the restrain. That was the second they were showing.
Is that right? Yes.
We are my friends if you do whatsoever I command you.
That sweeps away and that one verse.
Whipping away all suspicious art of it that can be put up.
For all the various trespasses against plain pictures that they find about.
We are my friend. This is too whatsoever I command you.
The argument? Argue yourself.
Into various methods and ways of doing the work of the Lord that you know is condemned.
In scriptures you can make the scene desire because it gets results.
But here's the verse that does away with that. We are my friends that can do whatsoever I command you.
So we search the word and we find out.
Is this according to the truth, according to the word of God? If it is, it is long as it happens. If it isn't.
Regardless of results.
We may not go on with it at all. We have to reject it.
That takes moral curriculum, especially in the name of for living.
There's tremendous pressure rather bringing lots of to bear.
Upon Christians who conform to the pattern of what they call even genital or ecumenical Christianity. Tremendous practice.
We're all supposed to get together and get results.
But the path of obedience.
Have the sanction of God.
Just the humbly say, Lord, what is I with? What does thy word say to the law and to the testimony that they think not a party to this word? It is because there's no life in them.
We're never white with the scriptures.
We're never wise scripted or how unnecessary that is.
There any difference from the ground?
In being the disciples of Christ and the.
His friend, yes, he goes on and tells them about that.
And I call you, not service.
That is being timerable to discipleship and conservative service, not what it's going to do. But I told your friends.
00:50:06
All the things that I have heard of my father may go unto you. That's the intimacy.
Of the of the relationships, yes, it's certainly a different.
Why was Abraham called the friend of God?
You tell us, Brother Mary.
Well, they catered as I remember it when.
All the friends of God was when?
God said, Well, the Lord came and visited him at his tent door, and ate a meal with him to the two men were afterwards called angels.
And we find that there was one of those 3.
The Lord is felt and we have he can hear him think always hide from Abraham what we're about to do. Well, they didn't preach Abraham in the same way he treated law for a lot doesn't know anything at that time about the judgment about the call on a terrible wicked city where he's had his judge and found he was listening.
Going on trying to improve.
Followed, but Abraham and Chameleon live a large was brought into the mind of the Lord about the problem about to take place in this world, and I'm sure we could apply that to ourselves.
That if we're in the mind of Christ today, we're not respecting the world to get better.
We're not carried away or deceived by all the progress.
All that the world is posting up we see that it's judgment is hasty and we're not getting we'll not get our hearts set on things down here because we find the fact that the Lord has treated us not just research one who was told to do this or that, but the Lord is like with Abraham has been pleased to take us into his counsel to see his penis unfold to us all future.
Dies before us.
So it will end in the glorious Christ, when he comes to papers to be with Himself.
God does not hold us responsible to get results. He does not hold his responsible to get results.
He does hold the responsibility to walk on the path of obedience and He'll take care of your results.
Speaking of fruit, berries, especially yesterday, it's quite remarkable that Abraham knew how to set the table.
And so that the heart of the Lord was refreshed.
Everything there is Book of Christ for the Excellency of Christ, and even the pet store told the story and the tree under which they sat, but with poor lock there was only the unleavened bread, nothing else within the face.
Very nice.
Well, that brings you to 1St Corinthians 215.
He that is spirit world, desire of all things.
This is the only book in the world.
That cannot be understood by a brilliant mind.
For the sake of our young people, turn to the verse to tell you that.
1St Corinthians 214.
Lots of you young people are going to school and college. Do not forget 1St Corinthians 2 and 14.
But the natural man.
Receiveth not the things of the God, of the Spirit of God.
But they are foolishness unto it. Neither can he know them.
They're spiritually discerned. This is the only book in the world.
That cannot be understood by a brilliant mind.
And the Spirit of God doesn't appeal to the Internet.
The appeals to the conscience. And when you preach the gospel, don't forget there's no proof unless the conscience is reached. I don't mean alone. You need to touch the heart.
But the conscience must be reached or there's no real blessing. And so it is with the Saints.
00:55:08
That is, the word of God is addressed to the heart.
And the conscience.
And it's a good thing, when our hearts are warm, to prick the conscience.
For none of us.
Know how much failure there is in our lives.
Until God points it out to us. Take Joe.
What does Job say? Turn over and see what he says.
The 27th chapter of Joel.
And the sixth verse.
My righteousness I hold fast and will not let it go.
My heart shall not reproach me.
So long as I live.
I'll turn over to the 42nd chapter of Job and see what happens when he gets into the presence of God.
And the 42nd chapter.
And the fifth verse.
I have heard that thee by the hearing of the ear, but now might I see a thief.
Wherefore.
I abhor myself.
And repent in dust and ashes.
Dust is dead and ashes his judgment. In other words, he owes that he deserves nothing but death and judgment. He got into the presence of God. And brethren, if you and I walk with God.
Will do no boasting.
In the presence of God, whether it be Sinner or Saint, if we really walk with God, we will have no elevation of self, but we seek the glory of the only one that's worthy of glory.
That's the precious savior that died for us.
Gonna hail in that 61St What is the sloth of your that your fruit should remain?
Will.
Just what the connection with our brother Brown is saying. The truth remaining is only that fruit.
That is the result of walking in obedience to the Word of God.
In the past that the word is marked out for us.
It's the same principle, I judge, as in Timothy.
Second Timothy.
Two and verse 5.
If a man also strives for massively, yet is he not crowned except he strive lawfully?
There his fruit remains.
If he has driven lawfully.
Otherwise.
It does not remain. That's right. Mother Braun. Yes.
We have not chosen me, but I've chosen you.
Well, here we are.
They people think of God.
Enjoying each of these major Christ.
And we're surrounded by.
A thousands of thousands.
Was mine nothing in this meeting at all that to be a bore to them?
Well, what makes the difference?
Why aren't we out there with the crowd?
And to play well, I decided that I'd be a Christian. Is that what makes a difference? Oh no, I didn't start there. You have not chosen me, but I've told you.
So.
When we get to the glory.
There will not be one note.
Anything that we've ever done that God is there, it's all great, all great. It himself is done or that is is no wonder why you can't.
Find an iPhone? Well, here's the answer. By the way, why is this not found in Matthew or Mark or Luke? Why do you tell us, Brother Hagel?
01:00:04
Because those that rejected Christ in John's Gospel are looked at as an irrecoverable class.
That is, the bud opened into the flower, and all the beauty and fragrance of heaven shall. And so look at this very same chapter and see.
Go down to the.
22nd Verse. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sinned.
But now they have no cloak for their sins.
The rejection of Christ showed that man was a Sinner. Not in John's. No, No, not in John.
Their objection of Christ showed that the root of man's nature was opposition to God, that he hadn't one thing good within him, not a thing good within him, but he not only was a Sinner, but he had a nature enmity against God. That's why the he must be born again is not found in Matthew or Mark or Luke, found in John.
Because man is set aside and it's a new creation in John's ministry.
The reason I say it, brethren, is some of us are getting old and new younger brethren will have to. It's the Lord leader here.
And what has kept one soul immensely is getting hold of the character of each book in the bed.
It's no two books in the Bible have the same specific object in in the ministry of the Spirit. Each book has its own peculiar characters. John is the setting aside of the first man totally.
Broken branch.
I mean, John winds up by saying, behold, I make all things new.
New and that's why the house and the first chapter is gone. The price yes, yes, that's why yes, he came under the world in the world. He knew him now didn't even know him.
Doctor Long Ministry. Finally the rejection is brought out. That is not useful, but beyond the right again it doesn't. Yes, you have to retrieve into his own. Suddenly that's all that's left in the sixth chapter of John.
The 35th verse Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life.
Cast out now.
The 39th verse. This is the Father's will which has sent me that of all again given me, I should lose nothing.
But just raise it up at the last day and further down 44.
No, man.
Can come to me except the Father which have sent me. Draw him, and I will raise him up for the last day.
Helplessness.
There must be life getting no man can come man is so work iniquity.
Thoroughly accomplishing away from God. It can't come. Not that God wouldn't be glad to receive him and be one God, but morally he's incapable of it. It's too late. The decision has been made.
Our thoughts and everything. And in his own summers.
And I'm going to have my house board. When is the first time in the Bible and God retreats into his sovereignty?
Exodus 33.
Not until they made the Golden cat, as our brother preached about the 12Th of Exodus. Here they are across the Red Sea.
And they're marching through the wilderness. They've made a golden calf and worshiping.
01:05:03
If God hath not returned into his sovereignty, he would have had to cut off the whole nation.
And in the grace and goodness of his heart he retires into his sovereignty and spares of remnants. And you find the same thing stated in Isaiah 1.
Then do it. You're awesome familiar with Exodus, no doubt.
But Isaiah 1.
And the ninth verse.
That's the first time in Exodus that God retires into His sovereignty, here in Isaiah 1:00 and 9:00, except the Lord of hosts. And remember, the Lord of hosts is always the God of government in connection with the earth.
I will help you when you read that expression.
Accept the Lord of hosts that left unto us a very small remnant. We should have been our Sodom.
And we should have been like after tomorrow.
Utter destruction for sovereign grace of God spared the revenues.
Oh, how lovely, brethren. Those of us who are gathered to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ can't do any boasting.
No, the grace of God not only saved us, but the grace of God is gathered us.
Old may we evaluate and praise His name, and keep the deposit of truth till Jesus comes, but no boasting in the early days of brethren that began to boast, and God blew on it.
And the danger is at the conference you go home and say, well, how many were there 0456700?
Brethren, it's not how many that were there, it is how precious did the Savior become to us as we listen to His voice in the Word.
It's not how many are at a conference or general meetings.
That we ought to boast about or speak about in that way.
Or if Christ doesn't become more precious to us.
But these general meetings have lost the very purpose for which God would have us together. Is that right? Yeah, and literally 2929 has turned to us for a moment.
The last words of Deuteronomy 29.
Secret things so on, and the Lord our God, that those things that are revealed the longest to our children, and then they do all the words of this law.
Roger Reveal is well interest all the words of the law.
But supposing we fail, exposing that everything left to pieces.
And they lost it all.
God's going to be defeated. No, God has completed things.
I'm so by and by refined.
Danger has come in. Well, I look at the very next chapter.
And the first person will come to pass where all these things are coming from. The blessing hands occurred, the curse.
Which I have set before the end of the fall, and the mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God has driven thee. They lost it all under the government of God.
Now he comes in with his addiction purposes and brings them back into blessings. And I only did it in a broken way.
In the days of Ezra and Nehemiah.
Of all how wonderful is going to be the blessing for that disobedience and main thing they can buy and bust as they are not forgiven to governmentally forgiven until at the end of the 70 weeks. That's right as far as 90 years, but he takes out of them that suffered real full part of stone.
Sit out and give them a harder place.
And it brings them into such blessing as they never know before. That's God reading it with his own secret things.
I don't thought rather brown in that 17th 1St.
You know, the 16th were.
At least a school and bring forth fruit. I was mean by digital gold.
01:10:06
Well, good and busy.
Of that new life that we have.
It isn't a status thing.
It's alive and functioning.
It's a functioning thing that we have born of God that gives off brother Mary. I didn't have any thought. Thanks for yours. The answer is the 20th chapter and the 21St verse.
John 2021 is the answer.
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you, as my Father has sent me.
Even so, send I you that's going.
Think so, yes, Yeah.
We're taken out of the world by our call. We don't belong to it. Sent back into it to have as many picnics and automobiles we're able to buy. Is that it? No, we're sent back into it. Taken out of it and sent back into it. What's he leave us here for?
Is that a good time? No, He left us. He's left us here. Christ was the light of the world. Now ye are the light of the world.
And when you got saved, he takes he took you over the world in his preferences send you back into it. What for?
To be a lightness testimony to God in the midst of it, giving you a new life and a new nature and a new power.
And he's leaving us here. What for?
To be as comfortable and happy as we can in the world's atmosphere. No, He's left us here to be enlightened the darkness, To be a comfort and encouragement to our brethren, and to sell flat tidings of grace to a poor world of exclusive High Christ taking us out and send us the back.
Off of this right to join right before. Oh that's lovely, glad you had it.
I'm going to ask you the question, why is it that the end of this first you get this, and whatsoever you shall ask for the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
That.
And producing fruits that remain well as the answers again, John 2020, verse 17.
Jesus said unto her, Touch me not, for I'm not yet ascended to my Father, but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your father, and to my God and your God.
Were sent back into it with the conscious sense that God is my father.
All the union says, yah, we throw you out, you lose your job. Oh, but God is my father.
God is my Father.
When he takes care of his children.
The government is the question. His power, his goodness and his love.
And faith doesn't reason, and reason isn't faith.
Now we know what the children of Israel did not know. We know that God is our Father and we're good children, loved even as the Son is loved, the object of his care.
And so is John. Thou put us have no power at all against me, accepted, forgiven me from above.
Oh, the world can't do one unkind thing to you except God, Elijah, and if he allows it, it's for your blessing in the end.
You may not see the fullness of it down here, but if we walk in that path, our joy is full.
And then when we get home, our hearts will be full of his praise.
Is that right? But yes.
That young man may lose his job. Yes, they lose it. And this is saying that just because he committed it to the Lord, he won't lose his job. But if he does, the Lord will have something better for him.
Spiritually, not necessarily better for him, a better job and better salary, but he'll reach blessing and his soul just so well. I'm glad you added that too.
01:15:05
Before that truth can be against it.
Better to have the Lord on that side, but not everybody in it. Is that right? Right. I tell you a story about John Sobeck of Scranton. I'm doing well, of course, with the Lord.
Even a minor and they came to him and told us and he didn't join the union by lose his job and he had this big family and he was prepared to live. We speak a poor man.
He turned some and looked at him and he says, well, God is my father and I'm one of his children and if you're putting me out of a job, you'll answer to God for it. The man went away. He went to headquarters and told them this man wouldn't join the union and why?
And they gave him some more arguments and told them you go back and talk to him again. He said no, you can go back and talk to yourself, but I'm not going to talk to that man anymore.
Well, did God take care of that dear man John? So big he did.
And God bless him, not with a great big bank account, but with that happy soul. I knew him well.
I just mentioned this about him. I remember the first time I went to Scranton.
And we met in the hall upstairs, right for the square there, and he had to work at that time at night.
And.
So the daytime was his sleeping time. So he came to the breaking of bread in the morning and we were to have an address in the afternoon. He never told the soul.
And they all went out and he slept on the chair so he could be at the address in the afternoon.
Well, as that, God bless that dear man.
And it was lovely to be in his company. And his family has been blessed to the Lord. I stay with his son every time. My goodness, friends, you know every brother.
I think one of his boys nine years old.
Well, he was a dear man of God. I love his memory.
Rather than God is our Father.
Compare with the first John 5.
And if we know that we in Europe, whatever we act, we know that we have predictions we decided up and how's that comparison diversity we're talking about?
There's sometimes a misunderstanding in that.
Well.
The secret of Communion gives us in jobs peace and rest, and we have the consciousness that God is going to answer the petition.
We don't know exactly how, but he's going to do it, and there's rest and peace in the soul with regard to the question, just as there was dear John Sobeck.
He didn't go home to his wife that night, warnings and saying, well, wife, I'm losing my job and losing my grocery bill, I'm afraid I won't be able to pay it. He went home with the consciousness that although he didn't know how, that God was going to take care of the situation.
And God will give you and me that consciousness if we walk with Him in communion.
Lord, whatever, this is going to take place, no.

Round 15.
Verse 18.
50 and verse 18.
If the world hates you, you know what it hated me before it hated you.
If you were on the world, the world would love to know, but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hated you.
Remember the word that I tend unto you. The servant is not greater than his Lord.
As they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you.
If they have just my faith, they will keep yours also.
And all these things who are doing to you, for my name's Satan.
00:05:02
They know not in the testing if I have not come and spoken unto them. They have not had sex, but now they have no close politics.
He inevitably hated my father also.
If I have not done among them your work that none other man did, they had not had sins, but now they both clean and hasten both me and my father.
But this cometh to pass that the word makes you go still that is written in their laws.
They hated me without a call.
But on the comforter it comes, who will I will stand under you from the Father, even the spirit of truth, but for deals and the fathers he shall testify of Jesus and the all those will bear with us, because you have been with me from the beginning.
Chapter 17. Verse 11.
And now I have no more in the world. But these are in the world, and I come to these. Holy Father, keep to thine own name, those who must give me.
As we are.
While I was with them in the world, I kept in my name. Those that I gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost but the summer traditions that the scripture might be fulfilled.
And now come I to be.
And these things like speak in the world that they might have my joy both building.
Somehow you may not have been here this morning to her brother Mary on our attention to the fact that Mister Potter administering on this chapter.
Often reminded us that he divided himself in the three sections.
Throat bearing lost to the president and the hatred from the work.
So, our first this afternoon, Doctor, the third section of the chapter hated some more.
Brother Brown was his First Division abiding in Christmas.
Providing in Christ is really the subject isn't yes, and truth bearing is the result yes, It's all good carrying apart from almighty Christ. That's right. I just remember that's the way I remembered his. I think you're right.
I never Sigma than the meeting going stage, but I believe that N was seated more than any man that ever lived in this world. Is that right?
I remember dear old Mrs. Smith in Japanese. It was from her house that Lord Sheeper was buried.
I used to go and see her.
She said to me.
I believe.
If the world saw mortal Christ in us in our daily walks, we would know more of the persecution.
Because the world is stressed.
It was the best part of it.
In regard to what you were saying, Brother Hanover?
As for his being the most heated man?
One has enjoyed the contrast here in this 15th verse.
Of our chapter.
Hated me without a cause. That's the 25th verse. They hated me without a cause.
And then going to the third chapter of Romans.
And the 24th 1St.
Being justified freely by history. Freely.
It's the same word that's used here and hated me without a call.
Being justified and really without a call that is that was.
There was nothing enters. It was brought out such love, such marvel, love and goodness, tortoise, which is without a cause. That was love coming out without a cause. Here was hatred coming out without a God.
00:10:00
Is loud. They gave him pictures.
That verse enrollment in connection therewith the carnal mind is enmity against God.
It is not subject to the law of God during these candidates.
We have minds that are.
Enmity against God.
In John's Gospel, those rejected Christ looked at as an irrecoverable flats.
And emphasize the blessedness. There's only two passages of the Old Testament that carry you back into eternity.
The first one is in the 40th Psalm and it's Christ as the burnt offering.
There's only two packages and the whole of the Old Testament.
Verse 6. Sacrifice and offering Thou didst not desire mine ears have thou opened their knee burnt offering and sin offering as thou not required.
Then said I low eye covenant the volume of the book, it is written on me.
Now I read the next verse as in Mr. Davies translation.
The good pleasure of thy will, O God, is my delight.
That's John's ministry too, and this is the first time in the Bible that you're carried back into a past eternity. In the volume of the book, it is written of me. Or he was ordained as a lamb before the foundation of the world.
The next one is in the Proverbs 22.
I'm the.
30th verse Then I was by him. That is wisdom.
And one brought up with him, and I was dealing his delight, rejoicing always before him.
Rejoicing in that habitable parts.
Of his earth, and my delights were with the sons of men.
The first one is traced as the burnt offerings glorifying God.
Why?
Well, cook the last verse of the 16th Psalm.
We quoted in my presence is fullness of joy, but the proper translation is Thy countenance is fullness of joy, and a thy right hand their pleasures forevermore. Why? Because it's the sun going back.
As fulfilling the purposes of the of the Father's heart. And when he went back into glory, the Father, as it were said, now I can have my family up here.
By it's the sum addressing the farm.
Like countenance is fullness and joy.
Brethren.
The marvelous truth is this.
That God had his joy in forgiving you and me.
And there was absolutely nothing in us to draw his love.
He loved me. I cannot tell why.
And when we go home to glory.
The Father's countenance thus expresses that bonus of joy.
For eternity will roll arm and arms.
God will never take another family.
Christ never take another bride. At the heart of God the Father is satisfied forever.
The heart of the sun satisfies forever.
And that in the companionship of those for whom he suffered, bled and died.
Always to one soul is wonderful.
Its practice when he says in this 19th verse that he were of the world, the world he loved his own.
00:15:00
But because we are not of the world, but I told you about the world, therefore the world Peters you.
Now that's taking things normally. That is that those are who is speaking.
Are manifesting their character.
As those that have been called out of the world.
Where a Christian.
Gets out of communion.
And goes on with the world, denying his character as a Christian in a practical way. He escapes very much of this hatred. The Lord talking about here it finally manifest his character as one that's taken out of the world. That's when the hatred comes.
Shall I say yes and no to that brother?
Well, I'll give you an illustrator while making a statement.
The world is so selfish that it loves Christian fruit, but it doesn't want the Christ that produces the fruit.
I said another story about my brother People night when we were little boys. We were going to High Park.
We stopped at a candy store and bought some candy. The man gave us too much change. I said to my brother over there. I said he's given us too much change, we better go back and give it to him. So we went back and given the extra change.
And he patted us on the back and told us what nice boys we were.
But we didn't act scripturally.
Why, Scripture says, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven. But we went away with the glory. Now what we should have said to that man, we're giving you that back because we belong to Christ and he wouldn't have patted us on the back. Brother Brown.
The world is so selfish that it loves Christian growth, but it will not have the trace that produces the fruit. That's what I meant. Yes, that's.
Your point is and you are not manifesting really.
The life and nature that you shouldn't when you took the credit, is that it? Yes.
But Islam is manifesting the life and nature that we have as Christ uses the earth thinking out of the world.
That's what brings the hatred of the world.
I have a friend.
Because I know very well I've known him for.
Nearly. I've known him well over 50 years.
And he has a very high position enthusiastically.
Congratulations.
He's a child of God. I have many daughters.
Well, he's accepted and his name is quoted in the papers and magazines and.
Honored by the work.
Well, I happen to know something the way he got up there. It was not my walking as the Pilgrim of the stranger in this world far from.
The Lord takes us out of the world.
And then he sends us back into the world as those that have been taken out of us, not to be a part of it, but to read testimony to it. And we have to be taken out first before we can be sent back in.
Well, that poor boy, part of me, although he's in his 70s, he's still a boy.
I don't think he ever realized that he'd been taken out of the world.
Say the word that's used here.
For World is a whole organized system of Manhattan.
The whole thing, that man has it in his hand.
Satan, the God of it religiously and the Prince of it politically.
And man his willing to and everything is harmonized after the will and pattern and man down here below now you and I have taken out of it and building our heavenly citizenship.
We become as if we're out of tunes with every popular movement that comes along.
Well, no wonder. Let the world hate us because they they say, well, he just pours cold water on everything.
Well, cold water on it is that we don't have anything to do with it. I'll give an example. I think examples are helpful.
00:20:00
A lady came to my home one day.
And then he said I want to decide a decision.
They're going to put a table in the block here.
And we don't want it in there in this box. It's going to ruin the residence district and we want to keep it out. And I want you to sign this invitation.
Well, we just told her that.
It was that he did not sign petitions for anything. That that wasn't Our Calling in this world. I don't remember just exactly how we put it, but we refuse.
Well, she she flew into more or less of a range and she said, I thought of all people in the block, a few folks would certainly sign up to keep a Tavern on the block.
Well, now if I find that, I do it as a citizen of his words.
I'm at my part of trying to keep this world cleaned up, Mr. Carmen used to say. I think some of us present here will remember his saying these things.
He said why should we Christians?
Try to keep the world from having the only Blazers that will ever have. Why should we try to keep them from their liquor and their tobacco and their and their cars and and the various things? Why should we interfere with their places and they all the places they'll ever have?
Remember that I remember his other arm. Yes, I do now.
With my KRB illustration what you're talking about one hour of school with everything around.
All the false prophets said to have to go down to Ramos Gilead, you're going to prosper.
For my day, I.
Had to give a true testimony.
While the false prophets put him in the face, there was a man that was really not in the world.
Without approval, everything you had to cover for it. And he sent back the jail for it. And yet he was right, wasn't it? And the only man on the scene that was right.
Was was a child of God and and the King that did much to please the Lord, but he was out of place.
He was in tune with everything there.
While a sad and sorrowful.
Part that brought him into more discipline upon him too. But there was one man that was out of it all Facebook testimony at that time.
I think it's well worth reading through Separation.
There's a teaching abroad.
We Christians should join up with these things that are going on around.
We can do them good way to getting that for people and these are the crisis to join up in these various things. Well, it's the direction denial of the line of truth that we have in our chapters. Rather remarkable is the word Ecclesiastes.
Means called out, called over the word other words, yes. We don't think of the fascination. The view is now.
I might mention that I was in a space college where the large manufacturers and there were two targets in there and I knew one of them very well.
Then there I knew one of them very well and he said that the finished the ball game, we had the ball game. I said no, I never did the ball game in my life. Thank God for that. Well, the book turned on, you know, they got really mad at me, you know, how are you going to help these fellows again?
Don't go where they go and go with them. How are you going to help? Well, I said if you thought I was wanting to go to the ball again and tell them about the Lord Jesus faith and how he died by on the cross and gave his life for him and coming again to take care of this world and going to take you to heaven. I said all the right, you go to the ball game. All right, that'll be fine. You switch to them at the ball game. I said either you get out of the ball game or or they'll get out of the balls. So I think that's the way to do it if you want to go to these places.
Tell them about the Lord Jesus Christ.
Now I think you have been on the train sometimes and we speak the people on the plane about the Lord and sometimes they'll say well it's too stuffy and this quote, I think I'm going to do everything well. Why? Because they don't want to talk about the more Jesus face.
00:25:17
So that's the best way to get rid of them if you want to get rid of business.
Microsoft Richard Weaver. Someone invited him to a dance.
Why does he go? Oh, he went. And when everything was tuned up for the dance, why he said friends, he says I never do anything without praying about it first.
Let's let's look to the Lord about it. So we got down on his knees with card his brain. When his prayer was over, he had to dance floor all to himself.
Everybody got out in a hurry.
John 663 gives you the whole, the keys of the whole and of which we've been speaking.
The flesh profited nothing.
What does that mean?
It means just what we have in our chapter. The Lord Jesus came into the world.
And the bud opened into the flower.
All his garments were murdered, and aloes and captions.
The fragrance and loveliness of heaven shone out in that blessed man.
And so it says here they hated me without a call.
Brethren, the world is not king.
Do not forget.
That you and I have talked like that. My nature.
That you and I have talked like that. My nature.
And God loved us when there wasn't a thing lovable in us.
And sent his Son to battle for us. And not only so, but every Christian blessing is a mountain peak beyond which God could not go. And the great point in the gospel will be lost.
If we do not see that the path we're talking about of strangership and separation is the path of two things.
Happiness in your soul at the message of the Lord in your life.
I'm going to repeat that because we'll miss the very point if we don't get it.
The path that we're Marco and John is the path of blessings from the hands of the Lord, and the path of true joy in a world that is just.
Vanity itself.
Vanity itself. True joy.
And the blessing of the Lord is found in that path.
For yourself individually.
And for your family?
Keep out of your home.
Everything.
That savers of this world.
Let your home be there, a place where Christ is the object of His word is that which governs your thoughts.
And if what you have in your home doesn't minister Christ to your heart, get rid of it. Get rid of it.
All what presses on my soul when I have a reading meeting like this is just this. Again, I say it's the path of blessing.
It's the path of joy. It's the path of happiness.
And any other path.
Oh, it only brings sorrow even into Christians homes.
That presses on my soul, brethren.
No one ever lived to please God in his life.
And end in his life and sorrow.
There's a moral principle. Take the verse in the book of the Psalm. It's not exactly what I've been saying, but the principle.
I think I can find it.
Somebody help me find a sentence.
Mark the path of the perfect and the upright man, for the end of that is peace.
00:30:07
You remember it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. That's the one I was looking for.
Mark that verse in your Bible if you do any marking.
Mark the perfect.
Man and behold the upright. What's an upright man?
An upright man.
Is a man that when he fails, he owns it to the Lord, he doesn't cover it up.
An upright man holds his failure.
Mark the perfect, and the behold the upright. When the end of that man is trouble. Is that what it means?
No, it's peace. It's peace now that's not going to heaven. Exactly. That's not the thought.
But the road he walks on and the end of the road is peace.
All pure Saints of God that we walk with God in our lives will never live to regret and what you're saying to be summed up in that word, If you know these things happily are you, if you do good.
Thank you for the words.
What I have in mind?
It's one thing, as Brother Dunlop used to say.
To get those tools in your head and another in your heart. But the best thing he always used to tell us was to get it into your legs and walk in it. Now I'll tell you a story about that dear old man, and I've never forgotten.
He was sick in Ottawa, where I live.
And I I was on the way to the prayer meeting.
So I went to the house where he was saying he wasn't the, but I went to the house to see him. But I thought I'd like to tell the brethren.
His condition that we might pray for. And I'll tell you what he said to me. He said now, hey, oh, you're on the way to the prayer meeting.
You tell the brethren I don't want them to pray that I'll get better.
You asked the brethren to pray.
That the Lord will show me why I got sick, and that I may get the blessing the Lord intends for me out of the sickness. And if I get those two things from the Lord, I'll trust him for my poor old body.
Now he told me that himself, and I went to the prayer meeting and gave his message. Do you think that's good? Yes.
Well, so often when we pray for the sick, we pray for their return to help. Well, that's all right in its ways.
But I never forgot that dear man's desire. He says. You pray at our fellow things.
Ask the Lord to show me where I got sick and ask the Lord to give me the blessing that he intends for me out of the sickness. And if I get those two things from the Lord, I'll trust him, he said. People from my poor old body.
Well, that dear man lived a happy life.
I knew him well for years.
And I never, never met him in an unhappy state of soul.
I'm thinking in connection with that 20th work. Remember the word that I admit unto you, The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you.
They have kept my thing. They will keep your goal.
Lord was preparing his disciples.
To go on in testimony on service for him.
After he was departed after his departure.
And he points out how closely the service.
Is associated with his blessed Mass. I passed the experiment is greater than his mind. Oh no, we're always to hold.
Him as our Lord is subject to Him.
Read of his grace, we think of His perfection.
And what for? Unfaithful service we are indeed, when we place any service for him alongside the last perfect service we see and the one who made no mistake.
00:35:05
But I was thinking too in connection with this.
In the 12Th, 1St, 12Th chapter.
On the 26th 1St.
There the Lord says, if any man's clarity.
Doesn't say to go to a Bible school early if any man's therapy, what are the qualifications or what is the third and blessed Lord there. There's that very simply before us. If any man spur me, let him follow me. That's what other tale was saying and get the truth in your face. You're thinking about brother Dunlop by a member of brother telling me that when he was a young man.
And he asked for the Dunlop, he said, What books did I read?
And the answer of this old brother was, he said, young man, he says.
Get the truth in books, not in books. Lord wants those to follow Him. And then how lovely that is that we read on Him that first.
If any man spurred me and where I am there to hopeful my currency.
Heard the millions there's been in his company. And then he says if any man serve me, then will my father honor? That's not the honor of the world. That's not getting your picture and your name in the paper and being heralded all over the country, isn't it?
All our lovely it is to get the honor that comes from God only.
When the Samaritans.
Found this more arrested woman man by the wayside and put him on his feet and took him to the kin.
Said to the innkeeper. Now you take care of it until I come again.
I believe in that.
We have the richest care of the Lord for the soul that finds Christ.
The place where it's going to be properly cared for in the assembly.
There's nothing, absolutely nothing in this world takes the place.
Of being associated a mob assembly according to his thoughts. And there is where I will be cared for, my needs will be met, and I will find that nourishment for my soul that I need until he comes back.
Back again.
Now I I have no doubt but God has used Bible schools and blessings in business.
God is suffering and He blesses in many, many ways.
But I really don't believe young folks.
That the Bible school and God has for you that little meeting where you are.
And going on with God in that place and availing yourself an opportunity for ministry as they present themselves.
I believe you'll get a far more normal.
Well-rounded growth in your goal, then you can get in the finest four or five year course in the finest finest school in the United States. I believe that's with all my heart. You get the truth and it's living connections.
It isn't divorced from the background where God put it. God put it into the assembly. Now it's true the assembly doesn't teach. That's true. But the assembly judges want his talk and evil is is caught up with.
And error instead of dying does the Liam is reading. From time to time we correct one another.
Little errors or mistakes, whatever they are, that's what it's called. That's the reason we're here, that we might together get the minds of the Lord from His worst. I'm the assembly where you get it. Some of us that are older have seen those from our midst that have gone away to Bible schools. We know different issues.
And personally, I don't know the case.
Where it bends to the spiritual advantage of the Wanda did it. So that's my own personal testimony.
When we were in Africa.
We have experiences along that line. We would bring the native Christians in from the villages to the mission state to a central place.
00:40:10
And set up a school for them there.
Well, they got their training and their experience in a place that was unlike their village. In other words, the life of the mission station was was different from the lights in the village. And after they received their training at that central place and then went back to the village.
Found time after time that they could not stand the test in village, they say.
What the Bible through the.
Considered a counterfeit, that's too strong in terms.
Well, the best. I wasn't working for the wedding last time, but that's been happening since. I have a good morning and thank God.
From the standpoint of fiction about us, we can thank God Person for places that still exist.
Where they still contend for the truth as to South salvation by grace without works, and where they keep the coming of the Lord and where there is a desire for the salvation of souls. I'm not saying the word against it from that viewpoint. What I'm talking about is gathered Saints that know the truth.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that you're going to get something by going away to a Bible school that you'll not get if you stay in the middle meeting and go on with the truth where God has placed it. In the end, you'll be far ahead just to go on with a little meeting and defend yourself at minutes of the victory that comes along from time to time. And then his brother Barry was saying the precious written ministry.
Some of us have known of souls that live that largely in isolation, but they kept in touch with their friends. They read the little the little periodicals that are gotten out by those gathered. They read the book Sound Ministry.
They corresponded back and forth with those would be helpful to them and perhaps those who they could help, and they kept fresh and bright and ripened in their souls.
Against the Lord hasn't called us to a pattern.
And said, now this is the way walk thee in it that I know you'll be lean and soul and you won't be taken care of the way you'd be if you went in the system around, but just make the best of it. That isn't the kind of the Lord we have.
He's called an indelible path and every spiritual need is going to be met in that path where he's called.
Isn't it true that what we have is not merely a system of teaching, but it's a life? That's why it has to be gotten in connection with living in our circumstances, where we are.
John, the 7th and the 7th game was a good verse to listen to. Yeah, we were Speaking of that yesterday. That will consume my will if you want to do the Lord's will when you stand up in the morning.
And doing their work well, the Lord was it is that what to do is the opportunity to search and bring this mixture to the for you for your blessings that we want to do his wealth he may know.
By his spirit, that's how he's gonna do these words. Repeat the word and then throw it open to that. Is that right?
Often times when.
Things that are not the truth.
Get into the scriptural associations and set up.
They not only are unhappy themselves.
Because they're going against their conscience, against the life.
What they're really?
Born in the sides of those of whom they're associated. I've heard that over and over again.
I know of one Bible school where it has told me that they didn't want anymore children coming there from from meetings because they're always raising embarrassing questions.
They were, they were asking things that they learned in the word. Well, how can those questions be answered when the whole system is opposed to the very instruction of the word? And there's a very important principle in Second Timothy.
00:45:03
First Timothy.
The 4th chapter.
Coming up in the last verse.
Now we make read it and then make a remark.
Take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine. Continue in them. But in doing this I shall both save thyself and them that hear thee.
I make this reminder our school teacher. She goes to college and becomes a teacher.
And can teach algebra and arithmetic and whatever it may be that she's learned.
That she had a quarrel with her mother before she went to school, but she can still teach arithmetic and algebra and compositions, but in the things of God.
Learn not to minister.
When you're not walking with God in communion.
It's a dangerous thing to minister the truth, even though you know it, if you're not walking in it.
Take heed unto myself.
And under the doctrine continue in them. For in doing this thou shalt both save thyself. Wasn't Timothy saved? Yes, but this is another thought.
This is that his ministry might be owned.
God in the coming day.
And then the hearing.
That power in what you say to your neighbor.
Or in your home, or in your business, or in the assembly, in the measure in which you walk in it yourself. And so the first exhortation is, Take heed unto thyself.
How You go to a Bible school and you get your degree and now you step out.
As teaching, you may even be correct, but that's not sufficient.
Brethren, it exercises my own soul deeply. Deeply.
Take heed unto thyself.
Unto thyself.
I must apply the Word of God to myself before I do it to my brethren.
That habit?
Would some brother give us a word on Jeremiah 616 please?
Jeremiah 6, verse 16.
Might be helpful at this time.
Brother Brown is written on something on that, so we'll leave him to tell him.
That's the Lord waves, and see and ask for the old path where it's in this way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest your soul.
No one here presented this meeting this afternoon, but.
Doesn't have a desire such as is expressed.
We don't want anything else.
But the path is according to the mind of God, the one that he called the good way. Well, where are we going to find it? Find the Word of God.
It's here in the word.
And we have a right to examine everything that's presented to us in the light of God's Word.
For the law and to the testimony. And they speak not according to my words, because there's no light in them.
If we submit ourselves for the will of God that we find it in, the Word will never have to retrace our steps.
We'll never have to.
Feel that we've made a complete failure because we've struck out on the path of our own chooses.
And then following within the limits that are set down, the word of God.
We know that is approved. There have been known necessities for apology. That's it. I'll turn to the 7th of Jeremiah.
On the 21St verse.
Jeremiah 721.
Thus that the Lord of hosts the Lord of Israel.
Put your burnt offerings under your sacrifices and eat. Now put a little word in there. Eat the flesh.
00:50:06
I'll tell you why before I read the next verse. Because God didn't accept them. He didn't accept them. Why did He accept their burnt offerings?
And sacrifices. The next verse tells you why.
For I stick not unto your Father's, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices, but this thing commanded I them saying.
Obey my voice and I will be your God, and you shall be my people and walk me and all the ways that I have commanded you.
That you may go to heaven, know that it may be well read unto you.
Brethren, do not forget.
While every believer will be with Christ and glory.
God wants.
Us to walk with him as his children. And that brings us to John 17.
The verses that were read.
So shall we turn to witness.
Versus 11?
And now I am no more in the world. But these are in the world.
And I come to thee, Holy Father. Now holy is a nature.
Righteousness is a character.
Holy Father.
That is, holiness is the importance of evil, with delight in that which is good.
Holy Father, keep to thine own name.
That means.
To be kept in the conscious sense.
That God is our Father and we are his children, and that God, who is our Father is holy. That's the point.
Keep to thine own meaning, those who must given me that they may be one as we are.
That's wonders in Communion.
And communion means this.
That you can talk with God your Father, at any hour of the day or night.
Without a cloud in your conscience, and if there's anything on your conscience right now.
Judges have done with it, for you can never enjoy communion as we have it here.
Unless The thing is just.
People mistake communion with peace.
Say.
Well, I haven't lost my communion. Well, but they really mean they haven't lost the sense that they're children of God and going to heaven. But that isn't communion.
Communion means.
That I can talk with God as my Father in the conscious sense of His love as a child.
There's nothing sweeter on earth, friends. There's nothing sweeter on earth. This is the mountain peak in John 17.
That the Lord's ministry was bringing Ubuntu. There's nothing richer or higher in the Bible.
Paul gives you the counsels of God.
God gives you the person and the loveliness of the person in whom those counsels.
Work purpose.
And so he says.
The 13th phrase. I don't want to talk too long.
Now come I to me, and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy.
Filled full full fields are filled full in themselves.
There's nothing richer that the soul can enjoy.
Oh, it's precious. Did you ever go to a deathbed and see the person enjoying the Lord? Will I tell you a story about Ruby Mackenzie?
I went to see her in that hole there in Hamilton with another brother and it was a beautiful day and the sun was shining. It was just springtime and the leaves were coming out in the trees. And the brother went to the window and he said, oh, Ruby, what a lovely view you have out that window.
And Ruby was nearly blind.
I was there and I heard it. I went to the bedside.
00:55:03
And we came back from the window with the brother said to her, you see something better than that? Oh yes, she said, Brother, I see Jesus.
And he's made my soul happy now. That dear girl couldn't look out the window. You were near factually blind.
But her soul was in the good of what we have here.
The happiness on their feet.
Told the story and I've never forgotten it. It's made an impression on my mind.
That's what I hope these meetings will bring us to, and then our hearts will say, as John says.
Even so, come Lord Jesus.
That's how it'll end work. We burst out into the desire to see his face and hear his voice.
I'm spending Kennedy with him. Is that right for the gas?
That was one more scripture rather hey, on connection to the box, you're reading from Jeremiah among the goal. It's very familiar.
The functions of these dear young people.
And Chris Samuel.
The 15th chapter.
This is after the failure King Saul.
On the 22nd verse.
Brother Hale told us yesterday that the moral principles of God do not change the dimensions.
Well, here's a sample of it.
First Samuel, 1522.
Samuel said.
Ask the Lord, great delight and burnt offerings and sacrifices.
As in obeying the voice of the Lord.
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.
And to hearten than the fatten.
Divine abiding principles.
There's nothing that takes the place of obedience.
Find out Mr. Bull is adopted.
And the expression Holy Father. So the first verse brings the besting Father.
It's just Father.
And in the 5th bird, there's no father that running committing with dogs.
To the Father, to the safekeeping, then his holy Father's God.
I'm about to say Friday, Monday. Well, that's good, that's righteous. Father is God.
That's the basis that not upon which.
Well, that's in connection with the judgment of the world isn't all right to follow, but the world has not known me. I understand it's right.
Big judgment all in us bits of dogs character that other, Hale said just.
Horns of evil but righteous speaks of God judgment against evil.
I suppose we've all noticed that many times sin is met and John's Gospel and also the official.
5th Is that because of the divine person that's required?
Yes, you do not get forgiveness of sins in John's Gospel at all, except governmentally. Why?
The great subject of the ministry and the Gospel of John his life.
1St We must be born again. Perceive.
Ireland to enter the Kingdom.
Then possessing that light, we have now a nature capable of enjoying what God enjoys, entering into His thoughts, being in the good of them, and then when the Holy Spirit comes, He comes to bring us into the present, good at it while we're still in the world.
So that's the subject of John's ministry and in the Gospel.
This eternal life is seen in the presence of the Son of God. In the epistles the same life is seen in US.
And we repeat.
Every Christian exhortation.
01:00:01
Is found in the past what you possess.
And as we remark the other day, you're not only possessed the life and nature of God.
But the power by the Spirit to live in the good of it.
And I repeat what I said yesterday, Mr. Derby made this remark that hit me and I never forgot.
He said, do you want to know why you're in? He says I'll tell you why, because you want to or you say I don't want to.
But you have the life and the power.
Why didn't you at that moment when you got irritated, why didn't you look up and say, Lord, give me victory, help me to show patience.
But instead of looking to the Lord for victory, you let it.
Display itself in some naughty words.
When we have the life and nature of God and the power to keep that in the place of death.
And what is the purpose of God? Or I wish I could tell it as my heart being.
Whether it is so rich?
God is going to find His eternal rest and joy.
In creation.
No in the companionship of these children, but God's going to have a family in heaven that will think of he sits and enjoy what he enjoys in perfect communion for all eternity. That will satisfy his heart as well as ours. But don't forget it satisfies his heart.
Did you spend yesterday talking with the Lord?
Or you say it was a happy day. Did you think of it that the Father in heaven found His happiness in your communion with him?
He found his happiness.
Always marvelous. It's marvelous. God will turn over to it. You know the verse so well. Zephaniah 3.
I'm sure everybody here knows the words.
The 17th verse.
The Lord thy God in the midst of these mighty He will save. Now of course, the reason it says that is because their deliverance will be by power subduing their enemies. But.
Here's the moral principle. He will rejoice over thee with joy.
He will rest in his love.
He was joy over thee with singing.
I like to meditate on. That's better.
He will rest in his love.
He will die over me with singing. What a future to encourage our hearts.
What a future.
On the Baptist future, the right room's voice, yes.
Would you say, brother hell, that these prices that we have before us give us?
The Lord present service now that he's going back to the Father.
And he is interceding for us.
In heaven and the Father's presence that you get in the 8th chapter of Romans I just turned to.
8 Captain Romans after a moment.
In the 34th.
Church will it be that condemneth it is right beside Gay rather than his president again, who is even at the right hand of God?
Who also make his intercession for us.
See, the only one that could condemn the Center for Christ to know is the Judge. Father has put all judgment in the hands of the Son, but the only one that could condemn this is the one that died for us and bore the judgment himself.
And he says.
01:05:00
It is Christ and God gay rather than his resident again.
All the one that bore our sins is now in the glory. And then what about our our journey down here?
In a world of spin, a world where Satan is so busy, well, we have an answer to that too. That one who died and born of a judgment rose for our justification is up there on high, interceding for us as we go through this thing. Where?
Sin and Satan are so busy and the enemy is making all his attacks upon it.
Lovely. The Lord really in this portion in the 17th of John, take the positions as though he was already inhabited. Now I'm no more in the world. That's his position now.
He's done with this thing, been through it. He's fully glorified God in it.
How is place on high report?
All the industry for us to live for. So he praying the Father here that those of the Father had given him might be kept from the world, and he was going to decide to start with things to think that one would despise, but love as a blessed Lord is exercising the work. The wound is hard, and to go into the things of the world.
When the Lord is up there interceding with the Father to teach from all these, world is there that the enemy is seeking to draw off in.
A heart and will of God is the source of every blessing that our souls nor ever shall know.
And all our failures, whether as sinners or Saints.
Springs from unbelief of the goodness that's in the heart of God.
For.
The whole work of redemption.
Emanated from his own heart and glory, and the Lord Jesus went through every form and kind of suffering it was possible for a righteous man to go through.
And man hated him without a call.
And so when you preach the gospel.
If you can only get into the heart of the Sinner.
That God's desire is his blessing.
Why no Sinner could stay away if he got that thought into his soul that God was seeking his blessing. Take the prodigal on the 15th of Luke.
Why he didn't know the Father's hop till he returned and then?
How he found the devil.
Somewhere they the Saint of God. Why do we not walk closer to the Lord?
Everybody wants happiness. You ever meet anybody that didn't want happiness? I never did.
Where they find it?
The world will tell you. You'll find it in the pleasures of this world, but where will you find true happiness?
Why in communion as children with the father?
And if we realize it, we've never started a day without that little prayer. In principle at least, teach me to do thy will. O God, unite my hearts to fear thy name. When you get up in the morning now you're going to get up tomorrow morning.
Who are you going to start off to please?
You get down on your knees by your bed when you get up in the morning and say, Lord, teach me to do thy will.
When something is presented to you during the day, you ask yourself, is this the will of God for me?
If we stop to do His will and walk in such a path, the blessing would be so full that our hearts couldn't contain it.
Oh, he loves to glass.
I think of that him.
In the appendix of our hymn books, and I love that verse. It is the Father's joy to bless his love was found for me addressed a robe of spotless righteousness, all Lamb of God in thee. I never seen that verse that why I enjoy it.
01:10:00
Or I'll say it again.
Don't forget that verse. It is the Father's joy to bless.
Now with the turning connection of that to a verse in Jeremiah 5.
Our brother Brown.
Read it to us in the 81St Psalm, and I'm glad he read it to us.
But in Jeremiah 5 and 25.
He says your iniquities have turned away these things.
And your sins that withhold them good things from you.
Brethren, let's judge what is hindering.
Now when you turn to another verse in connection with that.
2nd Corinthians.
9th chapter and eighth verse.
Oh, this is a precious verse.
2nd Corinthians 9 and eight. Please turn to it and read it.
God is able to make all grace abound towards you.
That ye.
Always having all sufficiency in all things.
May abound to every good work.
He's able, he's willing. What's the hindrance?
All how often it is our own state of soul that hinders the outflowing of the river of His Grace.
For that, right, brother, Brother, hang on, would you give us the word? And we enjoyed in Toronto.
From second Pentagon, first four and the third pistol verse four, please. I was very precious and in keeping with what we've had concerning the Father rejoicing and we're walking in the truth.
Second attempt was John verse four and the third epistle and the 4th, 1St all of those two versions.
2nd Epistle of John and the Verse 4I rejoice greatly.
That I found the five children walking in truth, as we have received the commandment from the fallen.
The third Epistle and the fourth verse.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk.
In truth.
Yeah, I'm gonna have any gifts. Do that. Have you?
You haven't got to be a great gospel preacher to do that.
And every Christian walked that path.
What do you say, Brother Brown? He asked.
The second John, Third John is walking in the beetroot, yes.
I'm a threatened, as we remarked in Toronto.
It's written after all Asia have turned away from Paul.
For the epistles were written late, very late after Pauls ministry.
I remember, don't forget, a remarkable year old captain triggered Hamilton. There is a British officer in the army.
He said what pleases the general is to see a group.
That stand fast.
When he says the battle is going against against them, but to see a little group standing firm that won't give up, he says that pleases the general. And he says we're in that condition of things now, brother.
Were just a little group in Christendom, that God in these graces recovered the truth to us, and the enemy is attacking it on every side. But there's nothing pleases the man in the glory more than to see a faithfulness that will not give up the truth in the day of declension.
I remember the Bureau captain triggered.
And we have that before us over here when they're reading First Thessalonians.
Yes, First Thessalonians 3 and verse 7.
Therefore, Brandon weeds that Paul himself.
Were comforted over in all our fiction and distance by your faith.
01:15:00
For now we live if you stand fast in the Lord.
I think referring to 2nd and 3rd jump.
#3 in the left hand width starting the right three.
It is the Father's joy to bless.
The Heart and the Mind
Acts 20
Address—C.H. Brown
DISCLAIMER: The following has been auto-transcribed. We hope it will help you to find the section of this audio file you are looking for.
Our brother bought him a.
Morning suggested that we might look at the 20th chapter of Acts.
So perhaps we can turn to it again.
There's no such thing as exhausting the Word of God.
Reading from verse 7.
Upon the first day of the week.
When the disciples came together, I think the correct reading there is when we came together.
To bake bread.
All preached under them, ready to depart on the Morrow. He continued his speech until midnight.
This was the last opportunity affair.
Paul's last visit.
The wonderful privilege for them.
But even though Paul was such a big man, so important.
No, no man in all church history ever as important as he was.
He wasn't big enough to be the center of that gathering that day.
On the first day of the week when we came together to break bread.
Otherwise, it might have said, we came together to hear the famous.
Apostle Paul.
But he wasn't big enough to displace Christ.
So we should be on our guard against setting personalities.
On a pedestal.
Rather, let us keep our eyes on Christ. Thank you, Sir.
Came together to break bread.
This is supposed to be a young people's meeting.
I wonder if.
All the young people here.
Little children. I see some infants here and that's fine. Glad to see them here for sure.
But I'm talking to young people.
Supposed to be.
I wonder if there are any presents here that are still aliens to this?
Wonderful privilege.
On the first day of the week when we came together to break bread.
Oh, how, how blessed, how wonderful that is.
I remember so well the first day that I broke bread.
Oh, it meant, it meant so much to me.
And you know, I'll make a confession to you.
You may be surprised to hear this.
But I had learned about the meeting, about the breaking of bread.
Several years.
Before I took my place.
And not only that.
But I argued against him.
I argued against it.
I remember once talking to someone who meant a lot to me.
And I said, how can you think?
With your little tiny group, that little fragment.
How can you think that they have the Lord's mind? And here's a great ocean of Christianity.
And everybody is wrong with you. Why? How can that be?
Such arguments as that.
I oppose the truth.
And I was talking to someone who was in the meeting.
Trying to upset her, get her.
Unhappy there, I thought perhaps I could induce her to come with me.
Oh, how good the Lord was.
Give her the grace to stand firm.
Because when I did take my place.
I made the public statement at the meeting.
Brethren, I'm taking my place here this morning.
Because the Lord wants me to, and this is the place where he'd have me.
And I'm doing it for no other reason.
I made that public statement.
00:05:00
And as we were saying this morning in the reading.
That's over 60 years ago.
And I've never spent 5 minutes regretting that step.
Now why aren't you at the Lord's table? Why aren't you remembering a lot? You know what he said? He says Yes, do Remember Me.
We didn't say. Why don't you go down to?
South Africa or over to China somewhere as a missionary?
Why don't you do this or that?
He says this dude.
This loop, there's nothing that takes its place.
Supposing that you.
Called suddenly into his presence, as young people are sometimes.
Almost happened right here. See that in a moment.
And the question were asked you.
Now you confessed my name. You were baptized. You confessed my name.
But you never once remembered me.
While you were down there in the earth.
Why didn't you do it?
Wouldn't that be an embarrassing moment for your soul?
Have you passed through exercise in God's presence about this solemn matter?
This do this, do not something else.
And the members of me.
Well, Paul preached unto them.
Ready to depart on tomorrow.
That was the nature of Paul's ministry. That is to depart on the.
Just all set to go.
That should be our attitude too.
Perhaps we shouldn't put it off till tomorrow.
But right into the pot.
We're not going to stay here.
The Lord didn't plant us as a permanent institution here, Far from it.
No, he is coming back.
And he said it in such plain words, If I go away, I'll come again.
You didn't say I'll send for you because I will come again.
And receive unto myself not receive ye unto heaven, or receive ye unto the Father's house.
But I will receive you under myself that where I am.
You might be also.
Not that anything. Be more precious and sweet and encouraging.
Then a statement like that coming from the lips of the Lord Himself.
Yes, he's he's left us on the TV. He's coming back.
Are we living in that blessed hope?
Ready to depart on the Morrow.
And it continued his speech until midnight.
All when you follow Paul's ministry.
We find some of it right here in this chapter.
It leads you down into some dark, dark streets.
All indeed it does.
All he tells us some awful days.
That are ahead.
He continued his speech until midnight.
Well, as we look around and christen them today, we just have to say, well, it certainly.
Put it near midnight right now.
Oh, isn't it sad? Doesn't it read your heart?
As you lookout and see the confusion.
That abounds on every hand.
And Christians.
Utter frustration and confusion.
And giving up a precious truth.
The substitution of the fables of men for the good, solid truth of God.
Yes, Paul's ministry goes right into that midnight.
And there were many lights in the upper chamber where they were gathered together.
They were gathered together.
But it wasn't on the floor level, it wasn't on this earthen level.
It wasn't down here in this cursed and abominable scene where every manner of evil is progressing, going more intense.
00:10:05
No, it wasn't down here.
Many lights in the upper chamber.
Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.
You know where I live in Burbank.
I try and get out there every day with some tracks and go up and down the mall there they call it.
That's the Main Street of Burbank, now Main Business St.
And give out these tracks and I passed several of these places, these drinking places.
I don't know whether you call them salons or bars or what you call.
But I I patent 5 several of them.
One thing I've noticed that they have in common.
They're all dark places.
The door is open. You can look in there. You can hear voices, some of them, sad to say, the voices of women.
But it's all dark in there.
Why do they have it dark in there?
Men love darkness rather than light.
Because it deeds were evil.
Well, there were many lights in this upper chamber, whether they were gathered together.
Light and truth go together.
Light and truth go together.
And don't think that you're ever going to find truth.
Where light doesn't accompany.
That upper chamber many lights.
And they were gathered together. Oh, how sweet that is, gathered together.
What is nicer, beloved, this side of heaven?
Then a gathering together of the dear Saints of God.
The bond between them are among them being the love of Christ.
Or it's a real thing, it isn't imaginary.
No, it's not a bit of fiction.
It's a fact.
That bond of love that unites our hearts for time and eternity.
Well, at this meeting here in the upper room, there sat in the window a certain young man.
You think that the fun, that young man now you're that you're a young man or a young woman.
You think when he took his seat there in that window that day?
That ever occurred to him that he got his name in the Bible.
His name would be in the word of God.
Getting his name and God's word. We've been talking about him ever since.
Well, it had a nice name.
A lovely name. His name is Eudicus.
What does Eudicus mean?
It means fortunate.
Fortune.
Well.
Might call you eudicus.
If you're brought up in the truth.
If you've been brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
If you have heard all these blessed precious truths that come out from the different servants of the Lord.
If you've grown up in the atmosphere.
You have the right to be a Eunice. You're fortunate.
Or how much that's going to mean to you as long as you live.
And you can take that kind of thing to heaven with you.
Yes you can. Some things didn't take to heaven with you.
You can't take the money.
And take the physical possessions.
But you can take your fund of knowledge as to Christ, this person in his work, you can take that to heaven with you. Thank God for that.
Eudicus was there because he wanted to be.
Are you here today, this afternoon, because you want to be, or did you have to come?
He was there.
And.
Now let's be charitable. Let's be kind in our thoughts.
He fell asleep.
He fell asleep.
Well, that was number crime, you know.
It wasn't because it was.
00:15:02
Indifference.
But evidently the young man you see this is well into the night now because Paul preached all night long.
Sat on the window a certain young man named Beauticus, and fallen into a deep sleep.
Deep sleep and as Paul was long preaching.
Now this is Paul's last opportunity.
And so he was willing to ask the Saints to bear with him.
His heart was full and he wanted to pour it out.
And Eudicus is one of them. He fell into a deep sleep.
Paul was long preaching. He sunk down with sleep.
And they fell down from the third law.
Now that's quite a fall.
Be bad enough to fall from the first block, but the fall from the third?
That's quite a descent.
And that stopped the meeting. That broke the meeting up.
And Paul went down.
Stop right there.
Well, I expect you rush down.
And probably a good many of them followed him too. A thing like that will break up most enemies.
Paul went down and fell on him.
And embracing him said.
Trouble not yourselves for his life as any.
Well, only an apostle could say that.
The Apostle Paul.
Discern that.
He was not.
Calculated for death at this time.
We had that.
Ability to see that there is the possibility of life there so embraced him.
Trouble not yourselves for his life.
That is, the process of death had started, but it hadn't finished.
And it was Paul's ministry that restored him.
Paul's embrace restored him.
Now we might use that as an illustration in this way.
That if people have gotten tired of Paul's ministry.
Said well, we don't want anymore of that.
No, it interferes with the too much of the human side of things. We like something that's rousing and enthusiastic and some noise to it.
We like something that shows itself off. We don't like this quiet kind of meetings.
And so they begin to eliminate Paul's limitations and they add this and they add that until it's almost like going to a a show to go to a meeting.
There's all sorts of equipment and.
All sorts of.
Of characters presented somebody that's been a great football player or someone that's.
Been a great athlete or he's been this or that. Why we had some meetings in Des Moines there one of these outfits came along and they actually had live horses in the in the meeting, during the meeting, horses right in the meeting.
As supposedly giving up fundamental gospel.
Well, Paul's ministry disturbs that kind of thing.
But Paul went down and embraced him, and that embrace brought the young men back to life.
And he went back up where he was before he was recovered. He was regained, it was brought back.
Oh, don't. Don't give up because you've stumbled and fallen once or twice. Don't give up. Remember Utica's?
Why they thought he was dead, but he wasn't.
When did air parlors come up again? And had broken bread and eaten?
And talked a long while, even till break of day. So he departed.
Yes, Paul's ministry picture not only to midnight.
But it takes you to break a day. Oh, what a day, beloved.
00:20:05
A brother in his prayer today says, oh Lord, we wish it. We wish it might be today. We wish this would be the day that you'd come.
Well, Paul's ministry takes us right down to that day.
Till break of day.
Oh, how wonderful it's going to be.
The Lord is coming back again.
And I've been pleased and encouraged as I have read here and there, not only in our own literature but in fundamentalist ministry.
How many there are that are emphasizing the nearness of Christ return?
I've never seen it so pronounced as it is at the present time.
And I believe it's because the Spirit of God is behind it.
Getting us ready in anticipation.
Of the nearness of Christ's return.
You know, I wonder.
I've used this illustration before. Some of you have hurt me. Use it.
If I had a push button here.
And justice, push that button.
And the Lord will come.
When we push it.
What we?
How, how, how much do we long for his return?
Oh brother, there's nothing comparable to it.
It ends all the difficulties and problems where in his presence.
And the liberty of the Spirit.
And we've had to go out no more.
Even till break of day.
And they brought the young man alive and were not a little comforted.
Yes, very Utica. Utica is still eudicus.
He's still fortunate. He's still up and going. He's not sorry that he went to the prayer meeting or the breaking of bread, whatever it may be. You're not sorry he was there.
Now.
In the 16th verse.
Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus because he would not spend the time in Asia, for he hastened, if it were possible, to be at Jerusalem.
The day of Pentecost.
And from my leaders he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the church.
How to be about?
Oh, maybe 20 or 30 miles away.
That would be quite little mission in that day, you know, because you couldn't just get in your car and slip over there and back again.
That's quite a journey.
But he sent over there for the elders of the church.
Doesn't say how many there were as you read it.
Perhaps you have a mental picture?
How many would you say?
Well, you might say 7.
Well, I wouldn't quarrel with you, but maybe it was eleven, maybe it was 3.
But he said he called for the elders of the church.
Now.
We we learn from Scripture.
The 14th chapter of Acts might just read that verse.
That elders in this day were official elders. They were appointed by Apostolic authority.
And the 14th of Acts.
End of the 20th verse. The next day he departed with Barnabas to Derby.
22nd verse Confirming the souls of the disciples and exhorting them to continue in the Faith.
And that we must, through much tribulation, enter into the Kingdom of God.
And when they had ordained them elders.
In every church.
And in trade with fasting they commanded them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
And after that they passed through the city, only came to Pamphylia.
They ordained them.
They ordained them elders.
Bishops, overseers, all the same thing in every church.
They were official by Apostolic authority.
00:25:01
Now we have no Apostolic authority to ordained elders now.
I know this kind of thing goes on Christendom, but where is the Apostolic authority for it?
We have no official elders, or deacons either for that matter.
While they are both listed here and there in the word, deacons and elders, the elders taking care of the spiritual end of things and the deacons taking care of the temple and.
No, we do not have any official elders or official deacons, but we do, thank God, have elders and we do have deacons.
But if?
You were to say to me.
Brother Brown, who are the elders in the church at in the meeting at the morning?
And I might name, I won't say.
Whom I might name, but.
You ask another brother from Des Moines.
Who are the elders in the divine meeting?
He might name some of the same ones I did, but he might add some others, and they might omit some that I need. In other words, that there's nothing official about it.
And his faith that recognizes those that have that place.
So that you have elders here in your meeting in Buena Park, you have defense. Thank God for that, but they're not official.
But nevertheless, there is instruction in the Word of God how there to behave themselves and what the qualifications are for elders and deacons were not left in the darkest of that. So if we're occupying either of these positions, let us search the word, examine ourselves, whether or not our lives, our conduct is in keeping with the standard that's set by the Word of God.
And when they become to him eighteenth verse, he said to them, You know that the first day I came in Asia, After what manner I have been with you at all seasons.
Isn't it nice to be able to talk that way?
Serving the Lord with all humility of mind.
What a rare quality that is.
Serving the law.
With all humility of mind.
Or how little of that we see even when we look and they're looking blast.
But that's what characterized the apostle.
And with many tears.
All the apostles said. And beside this, the care of all the churches that cometh upon me daily. Oh, what a burden that man carried in his heart.
Humility in mind and many tears and temptations. Now. Temptations there doesn't mean, but we might think just at a glance.
Doesn't mean that Paul was tempted to do a lot of naughty things. It doesn't mean that at all. It means that he was tried and tested in his soul by the conditions he found here and there.
Trials, by the way.
Temptations. Trials that befell us.
By the lying and weight of the Jews.
Oh yes, they were against him. They had it in for him.
And they were going to see to it.
That he was killed if they had their way. And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you. Wasn't that faithfulness? He kept back nothing that was not profitable, that was profitable under them. I kept that nothing that was possible unto you, but have showed you and taught you publicly and from house to house. If you invited Paul for meal at your house, he didn't stop for just telling you enjoyed a good dinner.
But he had some instruction to give you about the Lord. He had his Bible in his pocket.
I'm speaking figuratively, of course. He was ready to speak about the things of Christ taught you publicly from house to house. Paul said for me to live is Christ. For me to live is Christ, testifying both to the Jews and to the Greeks. Now here's two things. And young people, notice this. Get this, There's two things, and you'll never get to heaven if you don't have them. Never.
00:30:01
Repentance toward God.
And faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Oh how solemnity, repentance, taking sides with God against yourself.
That's repentance, taking sides with God against yourself.
Repentance toward God.
And faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
That was the burden of Paul's ministry.
Repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
And now behold, I go, bound in my spirit under Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there.
Say that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city saying that bonds and affections abide me.
But none of these things moved me, neither can't I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus to testify the gospel of the grace of God. That was his life. That's what he lived for.
Well, sad to say.
He had another history in the past.
And no one ever had a sadder one than he did.
You know he's the most wicked man that ever lived.
He tried to efface.
From this earth, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
He had a burning hatred against them.
He was willing to travel miles and miles at the urban Christians somewhere that they might get them and see that they were executed.
Oh, how terrible was that man's hatred for Christ. And yet.
When he got saved, when he met that Blessed one on his way to Damascus.
And heard him addressing there.
Saw saw white persecutor saw me when he heard that voice.
It melted him. It changed him.
And now?
He's willing to give every ounce of strength and energy he had.
That he might glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
That I might finish my course in the ministry which I have received of the Lord, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the Kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
For I am not, Son, to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Now, young folks.
When your association at school or in your work.
Are you a pure from the blood of all men?
Have you faithfully testified for Christ?
You know you couldn't be around this man, Paul.
For what you'd hear about the Lord Jesus Christ, I take you to record this day that I am pure from the blood of all men.
In the 33rd, Ezekiel has a similar expression there.
She had that in mind when?
When he made that remark.
3030 Ezekiel eighth verse.
When I say to the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die, if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way. That wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will. I require thine hand. Ninth Verse.
Nevertheless.
If thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it.
If you do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity. But thou.
Has delivered thy soul.
Well, Paul had delivered his soul.
I take you to record this day that I am pure from the blood of all, for I'm not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
You wanted all our you prefer just to have a little pregnant.
How much of the truth do we do we really desire?
How about how much do we truthfully want?
Or do you prefer a 5050 lot?
00:35:04
And it's sad to see Christians.
Living a 5050 life.
There's one thing you can say about you can say positively, they're not happy.
No, it can't be a born again soul.
And never 5050 life and be happy.
Impossible if something down here in here ticking away all the time.
Making them miserable.
Oh, I wish I hadn't. I wish I hadn't. I wish I didn't. Yes, we'd like to have things different from what they are.
Well, it does not fill with this man. I am not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Take him, therefore unto yourselves. Now he's talking to the elderly, he's talking to the elders, and he tells them to take heed to themselves.
Start with number one. Take good to yourself.
And to all the blocks.
But number one comes first.
They came to all the flock.
In which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers. That's what elders are. They're overseers.
To soon the Church of God and by the way, that's the last time the Church of God's mentioned and and act to feed the Church of God, which he has purchased with the blood of his own.
See the Church of God, for I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter among you, not sparing the flock.
Well, there are plenty of them today. Do they come around to your house and knock the door and we'll go there and.
Well, we're just out doing a little Bible work and we'd like to come in and talk over the Bible with you, have a little study, Bible study and all such sweet pious remarks.
Why I'd almost think they were sent from Hector party that we put stay approach you.
And yet, behind it all is Satan.
It's an emissary from the Evil 1.
Is coming to take you out of light Into Darkness.
Now I'm not saying this of everyone that comes, I'm referring to Jehovah Witnesses and what I say.
But that's just a sample of what on Jehovah Witnesses and 70 Adventists and Mormons and this kind of thing perversions of the truth.
Beavis wolves entering in among you, not sparing the flock.
Also of your own self shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
Now, these men were not necessarily unsaved.
These men in the 30th verse.
We've had those kind of characters to draw away the disciples after them. They wanted to be somebody.
They wanted the following.
And so they drew away the disciples after them.
Therefore watch and remember that the space of three years I ceased not to warn everyone or admonish everyone night and day with tears.
And now, brethren, I commend you to God and the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you an inheritance among all them. They're sanctified.
Now Paul commended.
Not to the elders.
No, not to the.
Not to the bishops.
Not to the deacons.
But now, brethren, I commend you to God that change this one.
God never changes.
And to the word of his grace.
Forever thy word is settled, and has no change there. God is ever the same, the same.
Thou art the same as one of those of God.
One of the titles of Christ.
Commended of God and the Word which is able to build you up and given you inheritance among them that are sanctified.
36 votes.
When he does spoken, he kneeled down and prayed with them all, and they all wept sore and fell on Paul's neck and kissed him.
And not a lovely scene. All the Christian effects and what a real thing it is.
00:40:03
Souring most of all for the words which he speak, that they should see his face no more.
Nor did they.
Nor did they. But they'll see him again someday. Oh yes, he's going to be caught up along with the rest of us when the Lord comes and all these people that are sowing and weeping and embracing him, they're going to be caught up too. They should see his face no more.
Well, what a what a rich, precious chatter that is. How full it is of needed admonitions for the day in which we live.
Nehemiah Building of the Wall
Address—A.C. Hayhoe
DISCLAIMER: The following has been auto-transcribed. We hope it will help you to find the section of this audio file you are looking for.
Like to turn the knight to enforcement scripture. That is well known to me here and has been a subject. I know they're part of the field of meditation, and I expect that you've heard this package spoken on before.
But it's been an exercise of a blessing to my whole heart. I feel it has brought many wise.
Blessings into my own life. So I'd like to read it much more tonight in order to be my spirit. Wisdom together. The third chapter of Nehemiah.
The third factor of Nehemiah Lord, I read a faster like this the more I feel the truth of God's words that tells us that what things were written before time were written for our learning. Here's a pastor that who else would appear in the simply describes the building of the wall and the setting up of a number of gates in that wall and the names of those who labored on that wall. But I'm sure the more fair.
Any portion of God's Word, the more sure we are to find that it has a message for us. And I think I ought to say this as a word of encouragement too. So I think if you ask nearly any Christian, certainly I'm among them, that we read many, many, many chapters of God's Word. And when we're finished reading, we just take our heads and say, well, I don't see any particular message for myself from that chapter. Now, did you waste your time reading it?
There are ever so many factors in this book that I have read and read again, and I haven't found it yet in them anything that's particularly seems to meet my needs. But I commend to the dear believers here, and I'm going to single up the children food that you read God's Word. Don't omit any part of it because I'm sure that there's wisdom for you. There's a lesson for you in every portion of this book.
And if you do read it and don't understand it, you haven't wasted your time. I believe the day will come when the Spirit of God can bring to your remembrance and use as needed light and wisdom. Perhaps I'm very faster that you read and didn't understand at the time. And that to me is true. About the third of me a mile. I read the chapter and seen little or nothing yet. But I believe I can say that tonight as I read it.
Oh, it has very searching legs.
And I must say this too. Then I pick up the chapter and read it. It's A2 edged sword. I mean by that when I speak to my client, Dear Christian friend, I don't want you to feel that I'm speaking to anyone but the one who's standing right here before you. It's A2 edit store. It has language pros deeply into my own heart and searches it before God.
Suppose justice an introduction. We look at the 1St chapter and the 1St 2 verses.
Verse 3 Verses Perhaps I have to say, the words of Nehemiah don't hack a lie. And it came to pass in amongst his Lou. In the 20th year, as I was in Shushan lapel, the Panama, one of my brethren came, he and certain man of Judah. But I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped before last of the captivity, and concerned Jerusalem. And they said unto me, The regimen that are left of the captivity there in the province.
Greater flexion and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem also is broken down on the gates there are burned with fire and detained. The fact when I heard these words, when I sat down and wept, and more Ferndale and fasted and sprayed before the dog Heaven. I believe there's a meaningful lesson in this little portion for each one of them. Here's a man called Nehemiah. He is living in Shushan Lapel.
And according to the last words of the factor, he was the King's cup bearer. Well, you might think of a cup bearer of being a rather menial and unimportant fact, but I believe, according to Eastern history, that the kings up there was a very honored and responsible position. He was a very trusted service. The King's right man's man. That's a pretty fine position, isn't it?
There will be next in authority to the king. To live in a palace is a pretty fine situation, but there was something he'd done in the heart of Nehemiah that burned in his soul and made him exercise about the welfare of his own dear people.
And alone he lived in Shushan, the palace. And although he had his fine position, his heart is concerned about God's dear people. And I'm going to ask the dear, shall I take particularly the dear young brother this evening for a fact. God has given you ability, perhaps he has given you a comfortable home and a nice position that which this world would consider.
00:05:26
The victim to bring you satisfaction down here.
But I wonder, is there that exercise in your heart about the welfare of golf people that there ought to be? Oh, you say, but I'm not a gifted brother. I would expect brother so and so to feel a concern about the welfare of golf people to consciously, he suggested man, but I'm not.
Now I think our thinking is wrong and you begin to turn it over that way. I believe that each and every one of us, a sister that well as a brother, ought to have before God a prayerful exercise heart then turning the welfare of God. Dear people, are you one of the young people in the Des Moines Assembly? Do you have a prayerful burden on your heart for their welfare and their spiritual?
Have you ever found it that way, or do you think of that as the responsibility of some of the older ones whom you look to the minister, the word before you? I love to think of such and one of Moses and Paul and Nehemiah, each one of whom had ability and opportunity above many, but they willingly turn their back on some opportunities of advancement in order to see a health.
Dear people, what did it resolve in down here? It resulted in misunderstanding and reproach and opposition. But when you meet Moses up there in the glory, and Nehemiah and the apostle Paul, you suppose there will be any regrets concerning those talents and opportunities?
Upon which they turned their back to the Lord say, oh, I'm sure that would not be the case. I'm sure you will find them rejoicing as a God-given privilege of using what they had for the honor and glory of the Lord while they were here. Well, we just don't want to go into too much detail concerning the introduction to this interesting subject. But I believe I should say this that when Nehemiah and those who.
Him name the Jerusalem and bound the situation that was there. Their hearts were very, very deeply concerned before the Lord, and there were certain others that took motive of their arrival. There were enemies there. You find them named in the 91St of the second chapter.
I want you to try and remember these names, because they're important. Nehemiah 219 But when sand bowed the horror night, and go by the servant the Ammonite, and beat him the Arabian burdens, they lacked us to scorn and despise us, and said, What is this thing that he do? Well, that was only one of the attempts that were made to discourage and turn aside the purpose of.
That Nehemiah felt toward the interests of the Lord people. We won't take time to go into it, but there were seven different times when these enemies definitely been specifically try to discourage and hinder and fight against and mom.
These dear men of God who were seeking the welfare of God's people in Jerusalem. One of the most tricky attempts, shall I say, was the time when these enemies sent a message up to Nehemiah as he was busily building on the wall.
70 a mile come down and meet with us in one of the villages of the plains.
Come down and meet with us. Four times they sent that message to Nehemiah. Four times they invited him to come down. No match made of doing a message. No mention of fighting against him or laughing at him or scoring him. Just come down and meet with us in one of the villages of the plains, faithfully and before God. Am I answering him? I answered no. I'm doing a great work so that I cannot come down.
And I can leave, my dear Christian friend, that you will find vigorous, continuous opposition if you and I want to walk according to the life and wisdom of God, practice Word, and for the honor and glory of the Lord Jesus. It won't be an honor back down here. It won't be a popular path down here. You'll find opposition, you'll find enemies. You'll find those that will invite you with, apparently.
00:10:09
No ulterior motive.
Come and meet with them, But I believe here silence all that you and I with purpose of heart wish to walk in obedience to. This precious book will speedily recognize those who are enemies to the pathway of obedience.
There was a faithful thing by the name of Hezekiah, and enemies came up against Israel in the days of hepatitis. And that dear king put on sackcloth and got in the presence of the Lord, and told the Lord all of it. And the Lord took care of him and sent away the enemy. The enemy sent back a letter threatening and saying they were coming back again. Dear king has a client spread the letter out before the Lord, and told the Lord, here are those same enemies and.
Again the Lord said, leave it in me, I'll take care of them. And do you know what happened next?
Enemies again. But they didn't look like enemies. They came bringing gifts. They came from babbling. And they came to congratulate King Hezekiah on having gotten well from his illness. And they brought gifts with it. What did King Hepatitis do? Did he say enemies again? I must be on guard. No, my dear friend. He didn't recognize his enemy. They looked like friends. They sound like friends. And they brought him here.
And he opened the door and invited them and showed them all within his house.
He lost his whole family. His children were carrying away cats in the battle. My dear friend, we deserve that from Nehemiah. The building of the wall.
God grant that it will speak loudly to each one of our hearts. The building of the wall, I believe, has this person. In the days of Ezra, number of Israelites have been gathered back to God's chosen center, Jerusalem. The first thing they did was set the altar upon its bases and then build the House of the Lord. And now along comes Nehemiah with an exercise, and a wall ought to be built clean around that city.
In order to draw, dear people might be kept in separation from those wily enemies who were on the outside of the wall. So beginning with verse one, the wall is being built. Then Elias hit the high priest, rose up with his brethren the priest, and they built a deep cake. They sanctified it and stopped the doors of it. Even under the power of Mia, they thank you find it under the power of Anil.
I think we are Best Buy considered it slowly.
First thing is the building of the seashake, and the seashake was built from the power of Mia to the power of Hannah Neo. Now, I must admit right away that I am no star. I don't know anything as far as Hebrew or Greek, but it's not very difficult to get hold of a Greek or new lexicon and look up the meaning of some of these words.
I find that the meaning of the word Mia is 100.
You look it up in any final dictionary and you're fine. It's the simple Hebrew word meaning 100 and Hannah in the compound, he's who were meaning the Lord is gracious. Not to me. That's a very, very fragile spot. Here we have the building of the cheapskate. The wall is about to be built around the city, and the very first thing done is building and setting up of the sheep gate by a life of the high priest.
And I'm sure that would remind us that before you or I have any right or portion within the walls of that thing, gather them on the Lord. Dear people, there is a necessity that you and I be numbered among His redeemed feet. Could we just pause and match our hearts? Are we really sure about that? Are you one of those who are numbered among the Lord for being peacefully **** you and found you?
And made you his own. Have you entered in through the chief gate? Is the only gate that's mentioned that's being builded in this factor that has no loss and no bar.
I like to thank my dear friend that is open for you for this very moment.
And why between the power of Mia and the power of anime, the power meaning 100 and the power means the Lord is gracious? Wouldn't that take us in box to the fifth being factor of Luke where we find the man having 100 feet and when the evening family counts this week 979899?
00:15:06
And he closed the door. Is that right? Oh, I'm glad that's not the way it happened.
Would not be closed until a full #100 was complete. Why all the other friends the Lord gracious? Why are you numbered among His redeemed sheep? Why are you and I among the number of those who were redeemed by His back of life? Because the Lord is gracious.
And that it will not be closed. The gate of glory will not be closed until the last one of the redeemed sheep is gathered in the full compliment 100, not 1,000,000. That's why it wasn't closed last night. That's why the cup didn't come today. Because there's someone else for whom the Good Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ, is tenderly, lovingly waiting.
I wonder, could it be that there's one of the missing ones in this company tonight, one of those whom the Lord belongs to be able to call his own sheep, and you've never yet talked to him and accepted him in your Savior? Wouldn't it be grand if you did so tonight and I would continue around the wall. You didn't close your eyes and say thank God, I belong inside that wall. Thank God I entered through the cheesecake. Thank God.
I'm not that missing one.
But I am among the number 100th, a figurative number redeemed by the blood of Christ. I love this picture, but there's no sadness here. Another real sadness. I said there were no locks or bars this game, and it could be because it's the gate of entreaty, but I believe there may have been another reason for it. I believe that a low in life, it was the high priest and built this gate.
Thoroughly well and carefully. I believe that there was something about this year, man, and very, very sad. If you turn over in the same factor or a little harder turn over the verse 20 plays at the same third factor.
After him bear up the son of Zabi I earned. He prepared the other piece from the turning of the wall unto the door of the House of Elias at the high priest.
After him repaired Mary Moth the Son, who arrived at the Son of Cause and another feast from the door of the House of Elias, even to the end of the host of elections.
Stuff being very, very interesting in this package, very, very certain to me. Here was a man who was a high priest. Here was a man who was diligently building the sheep gang, occupied, perhaps we may say, with backward speech of the Gospel. But there was a neglect in the path of your life. He neglected to build a wall in front of.
His own home.
And someone noticed this, someone named Marymount noticed that in life it would reflect him to build a wall in front of his own home. Now Mary Moff will notice his building in the Fort Worth he was building elsewhere.
In fact, if you try to draw sketch of this wall, you find that Paramount was building a long way from the home of Eliot, but he noticed from day-to-day that the wall was not being tended to in front of a home of a life in the high priest.
And what did Mary Mark do? Did he nuts the worker next to him and say you notice how careless he lied it is? If you notice that he's not building a law in private own home. You notice what he's family doing. He's a careless man. Gnome, my dear friend Mary doesn't do that. Mary Mall faithfully and diligently completed that which was his force command. Then he went through the prompt to figure Jerusalem and violently.
And faithfully performed back with his difficult to do, he built the wall in front of the home of the Hanukkah itself because he is neglected to do it.
Is there a Marymount and the Assembly of the Mourn?
There's someone here that has a prayerful, loving care of the Lord. Dear people, if you would see anyone, these dear young people dressing, getting away, letting us into the world, what do you do? You just kind of gossip about it, or do you do what Mary Moss did? Do you have the courage?
Like her courage to do what this dear man did. He went to the home of Marymount, to the former Reliant and personally.
00:20:08
The law in front of the home of the high priest. I wonder why she did that? All the Bible is a wonderful book. It won't make time to turn to it, but in the 8th chapter of this very book, you'll see something pretty sad about Mary Moff himself. His own grandfather's name was Carl, and his own grandfather was at one time a priest. But he lost his priestly right through his own failure.
His old grandfather at one time priest lost the privileges of the priesthood and Mary Martin himself suffered from it because of his grandfathers unfaithfulness.
By believe it made it dear man all the more aware of that could be solved before the household of Elias at the High Street. He looked across and saw what was happening. What was happening turned to the end of the last factor of me and Mike.
The 13th Doctor of Nehemiah.
And the 28th verse.
And one of the sons of Joy, the son of Elias, is the high priest was son-in-law to send out the horror night. That's bad.
His family slipped out through that lack of his.
Let us through that wall with the neglected and became son-in-law, to stand by the foreman, one of the worst enemies on the other side of the wall. Thy believes, dear Mary Moss, always happening, and your state of death whispering about it and talking about it. Mary Moff with God and courage went over and filled with the wall in front of the House of Elizabeth far along. But there might be more of this exercise of you.
This wall is a dog given necessity, you and I will belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, and particularly you and I who are gathered to the practice name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We must realize that all around us there is that which is opposed to our practice danger, that opposed to the truth of God's word and.
There's no, there's no possibility of compromising these things.
Expecting it to go well, you and I must be faithful of the word gone. You and I must be true and thankful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, or we'll soon find ourselves out mingling with the poor guilty world. The second verse. Next unto them under him, Bill with the managerical, and next unto them Bill with Baker, the son of Henry.
You notice in that little verse that there were those who seemed to build together as a group, and then we find a man who's building all alone. That's pretty difficult, isn't it?
It's not too difficult to know. They seem to go on in a path where faithful obedience to the word of God when there are others standing shoulder to shoulder with you in that path. It's not too difficult in an assembly that seems to go on in a pathway of separation to the Lord Jesus Christ when others stand shoulder to shoulder with you in that strange desire. But we find next under them build it Baker the sun, and we all lower.
Those who are present here tonight, everyone of you. And it may be that there are those who have to stand alone in your household, alone school, alone in the shop, or perhaps.
Perhaps there's a very young brother in here, or a very young sister here, who is even finding something of this reassembly in which the Lord has gathered.
To that, by God's grace, there is a desire in your heart.
The walk in submission and obedience to the word of God and your mind. Some of your fellow citizens consider it to be a narrow fat. Some of your fellow Christians perhaps score you for the conscience that you had before God that seems to walk for his arm and joy. Why do we do it? Why do they speak to turn you aside from the path of faithful following Himself.
Words. How do I say it? I believe it's because perhaps an embarrassment embarrasses them in their errors. Oh my dear young believer, if you want to be true and thankful to the Lord Jesus, remember they're in the building of this wall. There were those whom God was in fact with the solemn responsibility of building a law.
00:25:01
Stone by stone wall was erected and there was no Workman here nor there to encourage them in that they did it all alone and God told my dear believer in such a pathway may be yours. Now the third verse, the 5th gate to the sons of half anaya bills brought away the beams there are and set up the doors there are locks. They're all in the bars. They're all fish cake, I believe would remind us of that which surely ought to.
Desire of the heart Everyone knows the Lord of Savior. I believe that having found him as the one who loved you and begin to then the desire of your heart is that you'd like to be numbered among the pictures of men too. Would you not? Wouldn't you like at school or in your neighborhood or at work, to the use of the Lord in bringing the gospel to others and in bringing them to the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Lord said to those who follow him.
Follow me in thy womb, make you to become fishers of men. Well, the biscuit is the son of Papa Mills. I looked that up in the Hebrew and I find that working thorny. Thorny. It doesn't appear that the word of God would suggest an easy path and thinking to be numbered among the pictures of men. You're not going to find yourself increasingly popular and thought actor if you speak well of the Lord visa.
And try to proclaim the gospel in your neighborhood or at school. Now before 1St we already mentioned and the matter of McCullum, I believe was also mentioned in some detail at the meeting. So some of her five next 7 decoys repaired, but their nobles footnote their necks to the work of the Lord.
1St is such a bit. Always teach solemnly to me. I'll ask you this.
When you suppose for one moment that's as these nobles stood labouring on the wall, putting stones in the mortaring place, and doing it half heartedly, not putting their necks to the work, the use of those for one moment to save off the Lord up in Heaven was writing it all down. And if you were going to read about it during Des Moines tonight, they certainly had no such thought. They thought they could get away with it. They thought some earnestly repairing, and they knew that they.
Parents, they were lined up there on the wall along with the rest of folks, and perhaps they tried to give the impression that they were doing it necessarily as anyone else. But the Lord in heaven was writing down exactly whether or not their hearts were in what they were doing and they didn't know. And you and I were going to read about it tonight and people learn a lesson by.
I very young believers, what about you and me? What about my Christian pathway and yours?
It is being written down.
Is it being written down? It is my dear believer, my pathway and yours where you is this assembly and I in mind have been seeking to walk according to the truth of separation and found in your precious word is written down up there that whether you're part of it or not.
Or whether you're one of those who would be a kinder to edit it would seek to build a wall. All my dear 1000 Weaver in the Lord, the day is coming when the books are going to be opened and the record of your activities and mine is going to be brought to light. These nobles didn't put their necks to the work of the Lord. They were the very ones that you would expect other folks to look up to, to look up to.
His life here.
To look after the novel, it would have been a rather disappointing experience to follow the example of these nobles and thy wonder. May I ask myself, what about the testimony? What about the example of you and I are setting concerning our desired walking to mention and obedience to the Word of God, and for the honor and glory of the Lord, Amen.
Well, it says in the sixth verse. Moreover, the old gate.
We cared the oil of the Santa Patia and Michelle and the son of the Island, they laid the beans in their arms at the doors. They're out of the locks around and the bar they're off. That sounds good. Here's diligence. They're setting up this gate and they're doing it diligently with locks and bars and all. And what would the old gate see?
What would the old gate be? Your young believer, you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, your number among the redeemed ones. You're safely within a steep gate. You feel it desire in your heart to be used to the Lord and bringing others to Him. Now what about this date to come next? The old gate?
00:30:08
All I believe is a very, very real need to think about this old game. I believe we live in a day when that which is.
Old is despised, it's unwanted. There seems to be a constant appetite for that which is new and that which is different. But I stand here before you, and I pray with all my heart that that which will establish you, that which will be a blessing to your soul, that which will preserve you and will teach you.
In the fall, in the old path, turn to the six factor of Jeremiah.
The 6th chapter of Jeremiah and the 16th verse.
Last, thank the Lord standing in the way, being asked for the old path, where is a good way, and walk there, and He shall find rest for your soul.
I had to take the finish the 1St but they said we will not walk there in. My dear friend, I believe that this old day is very, very important. It comes early in the accomplices wall and I believe there's a very great danger on every hand.
Know the Lord Jesus Christ is our Savior become perhaps our little weary of the practice old truths that have been ministered among us so long. Our dear brother, you reminded us the other day of how he never found himself getting weary of receiving a gold coin in his pay envelope. He never pulled it out and said well, I've had a half a dozen reasons. Now I'm getting tired of it and I truly considered this by God's wonders race.
I was just a little boy. I heard this practice book read my home. I heard this textbook exhausted in the home where I was brought up as a boy and then found western ministry of those of my only love, the Lord Jesus, but read this word and obedience and walk the path of obedience gathered to the practice name of the Lord Jesus Christ and the ministry of.
Was valued in the home where I was brought up. I asked you before God. It is time like a turn aside from these things. It is time that I could look at the bookshelf of my father and say, well, he read those books, but they're duties for me and too hard to understand. I want something new. I want to hear the voice of this man and that man is so popular and well thought When people ask me what I think of this man Speaking of that man's question, this man.
That man book and I shrugged my shoulder and said I don't know. I've never heard them. Please walk. You never even listen to them. No, I never even listen to them. Nor do I read their book. I've got a book here that I can read and the found written ministry of men of God who walked in the old tires.
Lord, call them home. I have enough of that on my bookshelves that keep me going the rest of my days. Oh dear, that'll be weavers. Don't define the old path. Don't turn your eyes and ears to that which pretend to be found in you. I warn you, but I begged you before God and the presence of this practice book that if you put a lot in a bar.
Upon this old gate, and speak to us with the attacks that are being made against the old gate are turned by.
Never, never, never go in your soul if you want to keep up with all modern preachers that are about every hand. You will grow in your soul if you walk in the old path and bow. The ministry of men who bought the truth were gathered to the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Well, let's sit down. We don't have much time left, I'm afraid, but for those we slip down to the.
11 Verse now tied to the son of Harris, and actor the son of They have all repaired the other feet and the power of the furnaces.
Our affirmative.
This is a gate, dear friend, but it's conference between these days and adopting a taxi pass by too lightly as they proceed from a speed gate and a fifth gate and the old gate, we find them coming through the tower of the furnaces.
00:35:11
As the Lord brought you there yet.
As the Lord brought into your life back when corresponds to the power of the furnaces as he brought through in the way, the deep texting and the flexing.
Is a perfect dinner. There's a purpose of blessing here. It may be by looking in the face of some of these dear young people, and they are not as yet known very much about the power of affirmative. That's a good thing for us to read this and be warned ahead of time as to the lessons the dog has for you and for me. I'm sure if I look into the faces of those who are older, they know something about this.
Power of furniture.
I remember 1 experience through which I passed quite a number of years ago.
25 years ago, I was passing through the time of very very deep burden of heart, very deep soul.
How many people do much about it, but I remember I was alone in my room. I was reading in the middle of death and I read here Abraham, you know the time was texting and came in the life of Abraham and God called in the life of Abraham to defend the horror of great darkness. Did I follow when I came to Van thought why run unusual things and forgot to do to a man whom he called his friends.
The friend God and God called horror great darkness to come upon him. And Abraham, during that night of darkness there passed before him a smoking furnace. Oh, I thought, this gets more and more difficult for the four year man and horror, great darkness and now a smoking furnace. But what followed that smoking furnace?
Burning Lack. I received great comfort and encouragement of my soul in that package.
Abraham saw passed before him a smoking furnace followed by a burning lack. The mightier believer and God brings you and me through the tower of the person, and he brings you in the way the deep texting and fire and many affliction suffering. Be assured of this, that the smoking furnace will be followed by a burning lack of joyful testimony if you go through it with the Lord.
Have you written those who were in ways of affliction of God or taking it from the Lord?
There's no happiness by on earth and there's a sign of God that's in the midst of the power of apparently and the Lord is wait a minute, you've missed something. You haven't.
That I'm sure that when I meet shade, rock, Meshach and vegetable in the glory, and ask them the most joyful moment of the earthly experience, I'm sure you know what they'll say. Why they'll say that time we were in the burning, firing for us, for the Lord was with us there. I don't know what may yet lie ahead for me or for you, but I do know that every dirty round this wall we come through the tower, the furnaces, and there's a less minute for you, and there's election.
For me, I'll tell you something. A very dear friend of mine told me that after this reading the Bible one day he came across such a number of passages of comfort for one in affliction and trial. Then he said to himself, when the day was over, I must be due to meet somebody that's in real trouble and sorrow.
I never read so many passages of comfort for one in sorrow and trouble in one day in my life. I'm sure the Lord is preparing me for somebody that I'm going to meet. That's been real trouble and the very next morning is dear wife came down with a complete nervous breakdown and had to be taken away.
For extensive treatment. You know who it was if I told you she's been fully and completely restored. But that dear man, was being prepared by the Lord for the power of the furniture.
And I know not what may lie before anyone of us or myself, but I do know that my guilty lever that if there is a furnace of affliction or Father texting before you, the Lord will be with you in it if you take it from Him. And what came next?
The 12Th verse And next senator, the ruler of the hot part of Jerusalem, he and his daughter, oh, this week. And then this person, isn't this person here with a man who had the joy of building on that wall and standing shoulder to shoulder with him and held him in the building of the wall?
00:40:10
Who? His own dear God?
Is there a father here that would love to have that? George? Would you love to see your family, your daughters, standing with you in the building of this wall? You know what it means, dear parents. You know what it means to speak, to bring your beer children up and separate from this world. You know the outstretched friendly hands of this world toward your dear children. You know the things they get invited to in the neighborhood, at school. And it's hard to say no.
It's hard to constantly say no. I think that wall of separation between your dear films and the unsaved rejectors of the Lord Jesus Christ. And sad to say, so often we'll see a parent trying to build the wall and the children's busily pulling the stones out as fast as father and mother needs to put them in.
But here was a man whose daughter stood by him in the building of the wall. What an encouragement to any parent. Would you like to have this as a testimony in your home? And is it a matter of fact? I don't really care. I believe it cuts me deeply and hurts in my heart. I believe your parents. I believe your parents that if we can walk according to the light and wisdom of God's Word, we have the promise of.
Work for internally matters. Let's be humble before him about these things. Let me read a passage like this.
Thank God for such a picture. And I'll tell you something else. This is the only place clean around the wall where women are mentioned in the building. Nowhere else on the wall do we finally mention that women working. But here and where are they working? They're working between the power of the furnaces and the valley gate.
Exchange. Perhaps there's something special about the picture.
Something tender in time of sorrow especially fits them for building on a spot like this between the car and the furnaces and the Valley Gator. Who was it that stood at the empty room in the Lord Jesus We think what the fear No one was Peter. He was a brave man, but he wasn't there. It was Mary Mary the stood and wept at the at the federal board. Even Christ if I look around this company tonight.
In the face of the beer testers, young and old are candidates that God has a special place for you. He has given you attendance at the park that fits you for that which no brother can specially fill. And here we find and spank golf course. Between the tower of the furnaces and the valley gate we find the man building a deer dollar film living.
One with their father and desire to be.
Separated the honor and glory of the Lord, the valley people, the valley gate, all. I believe that's something we need to experience in our pathways. We need your children of God to be brought down to that place of confession. And you'll know that before the Lord. Sometimes the lessons along the way are not easy, but I believe that there's great blessing for you and for me.
As the Lord brings us around to this valley gate and brings us low before Him.
You know how to destruct recently and reading through Luke's Gospel, the crime that when the Lord Jesus is presented to us there as the Son of Man.
We find that he had a poor spinning full woman of the city to walk his feet, he had a poor Samaritan leopard to work with him, he had a poor blind beggar to follow him, he had a sinful publican entertainment, and he had a seat to accompany him home to the glory. And what a Savior.
What a Savior do you and I want to be popular and well seen in this world. All the loving may the Lord bring us to validate. May He bring us down to the feet of a man's soul. The higher you get in his world, the nearer neck of the Prince of this world.
Lower you get the marriage, you'll find yourself with a secret on massage. He had to go away, bringing us to the valley gate, but it's a brightest place to be. We'll find ourselves close to our Lord's Savior Jesus Christ there and notice through that. In that very 13th verse, a measurement is indicated. A measurement is the only measurement indicated on the entire wall. How would you think that Nehemiah were describing a building on a wall?
00:45:13
Quite a number of years ever, No, but once. The only measurements mentioned in the whole wall is right here by the valley gate. The power of the furnaces, then the valley gate, and 1000 cubits specified. To me the thought is sweet.
I believe that in the in the counsel of God, there is that which is meted out and measured out to you and me, and the hand of God is never laid upon with any indifference or fearlessness or forgetfulness in the Lord. Ladies, hand on you or on me and bring this down, down to the barricade in order to black our souls. Doesn't leave your hand there a little longer than necessary.
Does he make that affliction or testing time a little more severe than necessary budget for gather money during to us never grow up on it's all never goes to us.
You know, when our little boy daddy, about 10 years ago we met with a serious automobile accident. Our little boy was just between life and back for some weeks in the hospital. And I received a letter from your brother Brown here from Des Moines.
One second, it was so fast to me, I memorized it, he said. Brother, never forget that every circumstance in her life is carefully weighed out in the balances of a sanctuary towards packed on the youth. Every circumstance in your life is carefully weighed out in the bounces of the sanctuary before it's passed on to you.
Suddenly, unexpectedly, and apparently someone else's fault, you find yourself in ways of a Flexman file. And what do we do? Do we turn and blame the one who seems to be the cause, or do we realize that this is the hand of God?
With Rick blessing behind 1000 measured cubits are mentioned here in the only measurement mentioned in all the walls. God knows what he's doing. God has blessing for you my dear friend Rich blessing now for all eternity if you got all three learned the lessons that he has for us in the circumstances that are brought into our life.
Oh, I go here, we have to leave things, you know, and one of the neighbors back into my car and that's it.
I'd be invited that. Wouldn't you to blame the name of the bit.
But it seems that if there's anyone else that can be blamed, we're pretty quick to do it. Some brother in reading spread the false report. Do we not feel that our first responsibility is to get that brother straightened out as quickly as we can? Much suppose that the latte lighting were to strike through from my home.
Whom do I blame now? Can't blame my brethren, I can't blame my neighbor. I have to look up and say, well the hand of the Lord is in this, may I learn the lesson. But if anyone else to blame, I come to be so quick to see someone else responsibility. Oh man, with each one remember that that which is brought into our mind is brought by our hand that was nailed to the top of Calvary and love for you and me.
The 14th verse but the gun gate repaired my archives on a repair the ruler a part of the Heckler.
He built it and set up the door of their house. They lost their house and the bar thereof who built it.
One man filled all along. You notice the previous gate there were quite a number works on, but this gate only one man. Who would want a job like this? It doesn't sound like a very attractive endeavor. The building of the Dominique was built by the ruler of part of the heckery.
What would that sell? Oh, I'm sure on your side of God, who was, I think, the experience of a believer around that wall first.
The valley gate and then the down gate does not remind us of the experience of the beloved apostle for all we hold in the fourth of Philippians. You remember he said there what things were gain to me? No life counted lost for Christ. That past tense isn't it? He's looking back in Philippians. He's an older man and he's looking back for the days of his youth.
Playing on the road to the rest, if he made a reckoning and the reckoning was that what things were gained to him from that day forward with Tony Coxham lost her friend, but he records it as something happened long ago.

But things were gained and he goes like houses lost for like. But what does an expert say? Yay, doubtless. And I count an older man now, but I don't regret the choice I made in my youth present. Yeah, all things but lost for the Excellency of knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.
And do count them, but God.
There was a man who built the Dundee, who built it with it, another one. He built it all alone. And I believe he put locks and bars on his. I believe that those things which were natural advantages to the beloved Apostle Paul, he shut them outside the dungeon and called them. That's what they were, and but locked and barred on the gate. And my dear young believer, there's that equipment offered to you and me as being so worthwhile.
So important so to be fought after as you come yet to the dumb date, you'll have to come there alone. No one has to build a skateboard, you must build it yourself. Only don't grant this down here too serious in your life and mine the fact which this world be faster. That's what this world finds so necessary for its entertainment and distraction, I might say.
You and I, by God's grace.
To be willing to put the dung gate between that and ourselves. We love the Lord. And it was locked and bars above my feet. That could be that. The enemy keeps hammering it. He doesn't want you to be a separate expression. He doesn't want you to walk to the arm glory of the Lord either. He knows that it will be landlord and the happiness of your own Catholic and he'll hammer at every one of these gates.
Do not need to have a block and bar, and I trust that the lesson of this case will not be lost upon us and out of this verse. But the gate of the fountain repair shall in the front all over the ruler part of Mr. Egypt and covered it. Covered it. The only gate that was covered the only gate that had a covering upon it. You and I want to enjoy.
And sweet and precious fountains of refreshments the Lord has for you and me.
Why is it, dear Christian? Why is it that some believers are so happy?
One believer they're bubbling over with the joy of the Lord and you just know when you meet them, they're going to master it right into your heart. They're going to pop about the Lord they're going to refer to this precious book and others of us with questions too. We know the Lord Jesus as our Savior requires it that we look at their happiness and their joy and we just know that it isn't our experience as it is there. Why is that as the Lord does indiscriminately give a larger portion of happiness to.
Smaller portions of another idle, I believe here, children of God, we can't go any farther. Our time is up. But I believe that you and I put this factor fairly ready before God and sought to learn the lecture individually and as a family and as an assembly, that there would be the richest blessing in the Lord in your own personal life.
And in your whole life?
And nearly a family as well. Are we willing to do it? It's not simply going from portion to fortunately after and learning a few unusual thoughts that are in it. It's a question my dear child is always I need ever so much is prayerfully before God to the people that these elections might be reality in your life and mine. It is possible to be happy all the way home, yet it truly is.
Oh, you're single by both. Dangerous, flexible, disappointment, sorrow.
I say it's quite possible to have joy in the midst of all those circumstances.
2nd Corinthians fix, the apostle says. As powerful, yet all we rejoice, Second Corinthians 7, the apostle says.
In a great.
I must turn to it. I'm holding the wrong factor back at Corinthians Chapter 7. I'll just read it.
I am exceeding thoughtful in all our tribulations. Second Corinthians 8, verse 2, Albany, great trial of affliction. The abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded to me. This is very striving. Here's soul and joy. Here is tribulation and exceeding joy, and here is a friction, deep poverty, and a fundamental absorb.

Invest the experience of every question No, of course it's not even by no no very very easily we get down under the circumstances down under the trial Someone has to come along and encourage us a bit fine, Let's just talk about that but all dear children of God. I really believe that it was prayerfully went through the exercise of the fear of God would speak to him before us in this most 13 wondrous chapter there would be in your.
Blessings of the Lord. May I repeat this box? No, I believe the lessons of me of archery are intended to be personal left. Personal actions for each and every individual here, but I believe they're intended to be family left.
And I believe they're intended to be assembly left if you and die off to be certainly and individually exercising for God to walk according to the truth of this book and in separation from the poor guilty on the golfy world. When I say separation, I certainly don't mean that our heart on the long that they may know our practice failure and to think every opportunity to prevent hearts to them and all his mother.
All your child is all near the wall.
That belongs between you and this world, long between your children and this world, and belong between their family. Gather the second name of the Lord Jesus Christ and that which is not according to such truth.
