Peter followed Him afar off.
We can learn many lessons from the life of Peter. One lesson given here is the danger of following the Lord at a distance. The whole evening was a terrible mistake for Peter, and even though he was restored to the Lord a few days later and served Him faithfully all his life, perhaps the reason that Peter failed the Lord was because he followed Him at a distance. Keep close to the Lord Jesus - every day.
