Easter, Another Unscriptural Tradition

Listen from:
This word “Easter” is found in the Authorized Version only in Acts 12:44And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. (Acts 12:4): “Intending after Easter to bring him [Peter] forth to the people.” But the correct rendering of the Greek Pashcha is literally “Passover.”
Whence did that word Easter come? It is a corruption of Astarte, and that of Ashtoreth, the Phoenician name of the Greek goddess Aphrodite, of whose worship the least said the better — it was corruption deified!
