1. Son of Salah and great-grandson of Shem (Gen. 10:21, 24-25²¹Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born. (Genesis 10:21)
²⁴And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber. ²⁵And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan. (Genesis 10:24‑25); Gen. 11:14-17¹⁴And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber: ¹⁵And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters. ¹⁶And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg: ¹⁷And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters. ²⁵Eber, Peleg, Reu, (1 Chronicles 1:25)). Called HEBER in Luke 3:35³⁵Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala, (Luke 3:35).

2. Son of Elpaal, a Benjamite (1 Chron. 8:12¹²The sons of Elpaal; Eber, and Misham, and Shamed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof: (1 Chronicles 8:12)).

3. Priest of the family of Amok (Neh. 12:20²⁰Of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber; (Nehemiah 12:20)). The same Hebrew word is sometimes translated HEBER in the AV.
