Éxodo 25:31-40; 37:17-2431And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. 32And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side: 33Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick. 34And in the candlestick shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers. 35And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick. 36Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold. 37And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it. 38And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold. 39Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels. 40And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was showed thee in the mount. (Exodus 25:31‑40)
17And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same: 18And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof: 19Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick. 20And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers: 21And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it. 22Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold. 23And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold. 24Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof. (Exodus 37:17‑24)
Él, y Él solo, es el “Autor de la vida” (Hechos 3:1515And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. (Acts 3:15)) y luz, y ha dado ambas a Sus santos. Están en posesión de Su vida y son “hijos de luz, e hijos del día” (1 Tesalonicenses 5:55Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. El candelero, sin duda, señala hacia aquella unidad profunda y misteriosa que hay entre la Cabeza y los miembros del “un nuevo Hombre”, expresivamente llamado “el Cristo” (Efesios 2:1515Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; (Ephesians 2:15); 1 Corintios 12:1212For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
El sueño que Jehová Dios hizo caer sobre el primer Adán, mientras formaba de su costado la “varona” que iba a ser su compañera (Génesis 2:21-2321And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. (Genesis 2:21‑23)); el grano de trigo cayendo en tierra para morir y llevar mucho fruto (Juan 12:2424Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Es comparada a un cuerpo de muchos miembros (véase 1 Corintios 12:12,2712For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12)
27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. (1 Corinthians 12:27)
I know them, and they follow me: 28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:27‑28)).
Nos hace acordar de la vara de Aarón que fue puesta delante de Jehová durante la noche; y por la mañana “había brotado, y echado flores, y arrojado renuevos y producido almendras” (Números 17:88And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. (Numbers 17:8)).
Pero a la madrugada de la resurrección aquel Resucitado apareció a María Magdalena, diciendo: “Ve a Mis hermanos y diles: Subo a Mi Padre y a vuestro Padre, a Mi Dios y a vuestro Dios” (Juan 20:1717Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. (John 20:17)).
Las lámparas fueron llenadas de aceite puro de olivas (Éxodo 27:20-2120And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. 21In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the Lord: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel. (Exodus 27:20‑21); Levítico 24:1-41And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually. 3Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the Lord continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations. 4He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the Lord continually. (Leviticus 24:1‑4)). “ ... Oyendo la palabra de verdad, el evangelio de vuestra salud: en el cual también desde que creísteis, fuisteis sellados con el Espíritu Santo de la promesa, que es las arras de nuestra herencia, para la redención de la posesión adquirida para alabanza de Su gloria” (Efesios 1:13-1413In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:13‑14)). “No os embriaguéis de vino, en el cual hay disolución; mas sed llenos del Espíritu” (Efesios 5:1818And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; (Ephesians 5:18)). Si el lector entendiera bien esta verdad, no se dejaría engañar tan fácilmente con “doctrinas diversas y extrañas” (Hebreos 13:99Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. (Hebrews 13:9)).
Su principal utilidad era para brillar sobre la parte delantera del candelero, desplegando así sus hermosuras (véase Éxodo 25:3737And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it. (Exodus 25:37)).
