(1) A forefather of Samuel (1 Sam. 1:1¹Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite: (1 Samuel 1:1)). (2) Eldest brother of David (1 Chron. 27:18¹⁸Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David: of Issachar, Omri the son of Michael: (1 Chronicles 27:18)). (3) A captain of Manasseh (1 Chron. 12:20²⁰As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh. (1 Chronicles 12:20)). (4) A Levite door-keeper (1 Chron. 26:7⁷The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah. (1 Chronicles 26:7)).
