Encouragement

DEU 31:16¹⁶And the Lord said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them. (Deuteronomy 31:16)

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them.

Deuteronomy 31:6⁶Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Moses had been told by God that he could not go into the promised land. He would die before he got there. But Moses spoke to Israel to encourage them to go on. God was on their side and they didn’t need to be afraid. What a God we have! There’s no need for us to be afraid either. If God be for us, who can be against us? Let’s go on toward heaven with our heads up, and a strong step. There’s nothing to be afraid of.
