Sometimes we say, "I have had enough! Or, "Enough is enough!" Enough to eat; enough to drink; enough of a certain activity . . . Enough! Enough! Enough!
But there is one thing that the Christian can never get enough of and that is, Christ. The more the believer enjoys of Christ the more he wants. That is just the way it is. Furthermore, if we ever get to a point where we say, "we have had enough of Christ," we had better kneel down in His presence and examine our state of soul. A healthy Christian wants more of Christ and not less.
How much of Christ have you enjoyed today? I don't mean, have you just read a few verses of Scripture, and hurried through a prayer. But how much of the precious Lord Jesus has your hungry and thirsty soul fed on...been satisfied with...nourished...strengthened...refreshed...etc?
The Psalmist declared:
"He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness."
Has this been your experience today? Or have you said in your heart, "I have had enough?"
Here is what Job said: "1 have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food."
The Apostle Paul could say from experience:
"Christ is everything."
