Un tributo sobre la tierra: Una figura de la riqueza milenial de Israel

And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea. (Esther 10:1)
). En ese día venidero, cuando todas las naciones sean sojuzgadas bajo Israel, serán puestas a tributo. Israel mamará de “las riquezas de los Gentiles” (
Isaías 60:5-6,16; 61:6

Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth the praises of the Lord. (Isaiah 60:5‑6)

El libro de Ester concluye la profunda e interesante serie de los libros históricos de la Biblia. Este libro contempla a los judíos fuera de la tierra de su herencia con “Lo-ammi” escrito en ellos (
Oseas 1:9

Then said God, Call his name Lo-ammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God. (Hosea 1:9)
). A pesar de que están dispersos, se les ve bajo el cuidado providencial de Dios, que obra detrás de escena para su bien. Para enfatizar este punto, el nombre de Dios no se encuentra en el libro. Sin embargo, Su presencia y Su poder se manifiestan claramente en todo momento.
Los acontecimientos registrados en el libro de Ester son de gran interés para el estudiante de la Biblia, porque tienen un gran significado profético. Muchas cosas en el libro presagian el trato de Dios con los judíos después de que Él rechace a la cristiandad apóstata. Así como Dios obró en ese día para liberar a los judíos del plan diabólico de Amán para exterminarlos, Él también obrará en el futuro (la Gran Tribulación) para liberar al remanente judío piadoso de la gran persecución de la Bestia y el Anticristo. Al final, un hombre (Mardoqueo) se destaca entre todos los demás, y se le da gloria y honor. Él es una figura del Señor Jesucristo.
