I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness.

David knew something of life after death. He knew that death was not the end of everything. More than that, he seemed to know that he would be just like his Lord. It is revealed to us in John’s epistle that “we shall be like Him.” This doesn’t mean that we’ll all have the same faces, but we will all have sinless, incorruptible bodies, with the deficiencies of this life replaced by perfection. What a relief! No wonder David was looking forward to it.
