Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
Faith is simply believing what God has said. The Apostle Paul had absolute confidence in what God told him. If God had said that all the ship would be saved, then that is what would happen. Unbelief would say, “But it seems unlikely. The storm is the worst I’ve ever been in. The ship is breaking up. Surely someone won’t make it.” But faith says, “Lord, I believe.” Do you respond by believing what God says?
