It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
Sometimes a company’s most trusted employee is found to be embezzling money. Sometimes an employee of the government is caught selling secrets to a foreign government. These are unfaithful stewards. God wants us to be faithful (trustworthy). Our employer should be able to trust us implicitly in all aspects of our jobs. The Lord too should be able to trust us to do for Him what He wants us to do. Don’t try to cheat on the Lord.
