They were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.
The children of Israel were trapped. In front of them was the Red Sea, behind them marched their enemy, Pharaoh and his army. No wonder they were scared silly. In their extreme predicament they cried out to the Lord. He had a plan already worked out and used Moses to save His people and destroy the Egyptians. Let’s learn a lesson from this verse - in times of difficulty turn to the Lord. Cry out to Him for help. He already has a plan of escape worked out. All you have to do is take it.
