HEB 11:27
By faith [Moses] forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king.
Hebrews 11:27
But you say that in this story in Exodus, Moses ran away because Pharaoh was angry. That’s true - on the outward appearance. But God looks at the heart. And what appears to us to be fear was to God a determination by Moses to set the people of Israel free from bondage. It’s just that Moses wasn’t ready yet; he still had 40 years of schooling to go through. Moses rejected his 40-year degree in Egyptian politics and science to spend another 40 years in God’s school preparing for God’s work, at God’s time. Faith overcomes great obstacles.
