Make me thereof a little cake first.
Just as Elijah had to be served first before the poor widow had much blessing, so we must give God first place in our lives if we are to be blessed. Our world encourages the “me first” syndrome. But God’s Word teaches us to put the Lord first, others next, and ourselves last.
