And [Joseph] comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
Joseph’s brothers had treated him with much unkindness. In fact, Scripture records that they hated him. But after their father died, the brothers begged Joseph’s forgiveness. This he did - totally and sincerely. Joseph demonstrated for us how we should act towards those who wrong us. We must do as Christ did - forgive.
