They all forsook Him, and fled.
Jesus was all alone when He was taken before the Jewish leaders who wanted Him put to death. He was all alone when He stood before Pilate. He was all alone when He was punished by God for our sins. The Creator of the universe was forsaken by His closest friends just when He needed their support the most. Jesus suffered and died alone, forsaken by man and God. And so He understands when we are left alone. Praise God that, because of Calvary, those who have put their trust in the Lord Jesus will NEVER be forsaken.
