Being rooted and grounded in love.
Many times we get the impression that to be deeply knowledgeable in the doctrines and explanations of the Scriptures is more important than anything else. The Apostle Paul’s ministry emphasized the tremendous importance of love. Without love we are nothing. His exhortation to the Ephesian Christians was that they should be rooted and grounded in love. He says in another place, “Now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:1313And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. (1 Corinthians 13:13)).
