Fragment: Obedience

Obedience to the Word is the way of love to God, to Christ, and to the children of God. (John 14:15¹⁵If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15); 1 John 5:2,3²By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. ³For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 5:2‑3)) It will therefore be easily understood that obedience is the way, and the only way, of blessing.
