(lofty hill). A Hivite city of Canaan, given to Levites (Josh. 9:3-15; 10:12-13; 21:17; 2 Sam. 2:12-24; 20:8-10). Tabernacle set up there (1 Chron. 16:39; 1 Kings 3:4-5; 9:2; 2 Chron. 1:3,13; Jer. 41:12-16).
