Thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
You cannot purchase salvation, either with money or by being good. Accepting God’s gift by simple faith in the Lord Jesus is the only way of salvation. When your parents give you a birthday present, you don’t reject it until you can give them money to pay for it; you just accept it - hopefully with thanks. It’s the same thing with salvation. It is completely free. All we have to do is accept it.
