This word is generally and scripturally used to mean the outward and public side of heavenly blessing and rule, generally in relation to the earth. It is closely connected with the public return of the Lord to this world, “in power and great glory.” It is the sphere where each star is to shine with his own light, that is, according to his service and faithfulness here. The sufferings of this present time thus work for us an eternal weight of glory (
