God’s School

Genesis 41:46  •  1 min. read  •  grade level: 7
Listen from:
And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt.
Approximately 13 years before, Joseph had stood in front of Potiphar as his slave. Now he stands before Pharaoh as his Prime Minister. During those years, Joseph had been in the school of God, which molded him into a true servant to be used by God for the blessing of the Egyptians and the family of Israel. When Joseph looked back on all the experiences, many of them painful, he could see that God had sent him beforehand to preserve his family from famine and death. God knows the end from the beginning; we don’t. In God’s school, graduation day sometimes takes a long time to come around. But it does, and there is immense blessing from lessons well learned.
