God’s Servant

JULY 27
My servant Job  .  .  .
Right after Job 1:88And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? (Job 1:8), Job lost all his children and worldly possessions in a catastrophe. Immediately after Job 2:33And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. (Job 2:3), God allowed Satan to touch Job and cause intense suffering from boils - head to toe. Then for 40 long chapters and several months Job wondered and reasoned and argued as to why this had all been allowed. When he confessed that he was a sinner and humbled himself, God restored everything - doubled. And through it all Job was called by God, “My servant.” Incredible story!
