And Micaiah said, As the Lord liveth, what the Lord saith unto me, that will I speak.
1 Kings 22:14
Micaiah had been told by the king’s messenger that he must speak good words to the king. Micaiah’s response is our verse today. He would not be intimidated by others or have his thoughts changed by man. He would speak only what God told him to speak. This takes real courage, especially when the majority is against you. But God always rewards faithfulness.
