Good Works

1TI 6:17-18¹⁷Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; ¹⁸That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; (1 Timothy 6:17‑18)

Charge them that are rich in this world . . . that they be rich in GOOD WORKS.

It’s fine to be rich financially. But the Scripture tells us that we need to be rich in good works too. The New Testament has a surprising number of exhortations on doing good works. Our way of life today is so busy that we often don’t have time to show kindness to others. If the Lord has given you lots of material things, don’t neglect your responsibilities to be a help to others who are in need.
