God says,\u00a0<\/b>\u201cBoast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Proverbs 27:1).<\/p>\n

<\/i>If I do die, isn\u2019t that it?<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/b>\u201cThe rich man died, and was buried; and in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Luke 16:22-23).<\/p>\n

<\/i>I have lived a comparatively good life. Why should I be condemned?<\/i><\/p>\n

God says,\u00a0<\/b>\u201cThere is none righteous, no, not one\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Romans 3:10).\u00a0<\/b>\u201cExcept a man be BORN AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom of God\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(John 3:3).<\/p>\n

<\/i>God is merciful, so I trust that He will pass over my sins.<\/i><\/p>\n

He\u00a0<\/b>\u201cwill by no means clear the guilty\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Exodus 34:7).\u00a0<\/b>\u201cBecause I have called, and ye refused\u2005\u2026\u2005I also will laugh\u2005\u2026\u2005when your fear cometh\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Proverbs 1:24,26).<\/p>\n

<\/i>I say my prayers and have given to God\u2019s work. Won\u2019t that count in my favor?<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/b>\u201cMany will say to Me in that day\u2005\u2026\u2005Have we not done many wonderful works?\u2005\u2026\u2005I never knew you: depart from Me\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Matthew 7:22\u201123).<\/p>\n

<\/i>Why put me on the same level as a drunkard or a criminal?<\/i><\/p>\n

God says,\u00a0<\/b>\u201cBy one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin.\u2005\u2026\u2005All have sinned\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Romans 5:12).\u00a0<\/b>\u201cAll we like sheep have gone astray\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Isaiah 53:6).<\/p>\n

<\/i>If that\u2019s the case, I must plead guilty. I have sinned. What must I do to be saved?<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/b>\u201cBelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Acts 16:31).<\/p>\n

<\/i>What exactly am I to believe?<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/b>\u201cGod so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(John 3:16).<\/p>\n

<\/i>But must I do something?<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/b>\u201cA man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ\u201d<\/b>(Galatians 2:16).<\/p>\n

<\/i>To be saved just by believing seems too simple.<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/b>\u201cIf the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when He saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?\u201d (2 Kings 5:13). \u201cBelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou SHALT be saved\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Acts 16:31).<\/p>\n

<\/i>Does God really love me?<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/b>\u201cGod commendeth His love toward us, in that, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, Christ died for us\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(Romans 5:8).\u00a0<\/b>\u201cHereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(1\u00a0John 3:16).<\/p>\n

<\/i>I often think I am too great a sinner to be saved.<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/b>\u201cChrist Jesus came into the world to save sinners\u201d<\/b>\u00a0(1 Timothy 1:15).<\/p>\n
