Why have I found grace in thine eyes . . . seeing I am a stranger?
Ruth 2:10
10
Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger? (Ruth 2:10)
The reason that Boaz gave for showing grace to Ruth was that she had been kind to her mother-in-law and had cared for her when she needed help. Ruth’s kindness was rewarded by the one who is a picture of Christ. The grace shown to us though is simply because the Lord wanted to. We didn’t merit His favor. But His love is so great that He chose us. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. This is wonderful and beyond our comprehension. Enjoy it!
GRACE marvelous GRACE!
