Another verse says: “Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” I guess that man didn’t really know what true grace was until the Lord came. And He showed grace at every step. He spoke with grace. He acted in grace. And He loves to show grace to each of us even today. One of the first impressions made by the Lord was that He spoke in gracious tones and words - nothing harsh or coarse. We do well to imitate Him.
