Some priests are alluded to as the descendants of KOZ (the prefix being taken as the article) (Ezra 2:6161And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; which took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name: (Ezra 2:61); Neh. 3:4,214And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz.
