The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit?
Many times I have heard of those who have visited a sick Christian in the hospital in order to cheer them up only to come away from the visit being the one who got the cheering. And we all know what it’s like to be around someone who is depressed and complaining even though there may be nothing physically wrong with them. What’s the difference? One has a close walk with God, and sickness doesn’t spoil it. The other has no communion with God, and so nothing is right. Which are you?
