WE who sometimes were afar off are made nigh by the blood of Christ, for He is our peace. (Eph. 2:13, 14.)
Mark, troubled heart, the word does not say that anything in you is your peace, but that He, Christ Jesus, who shed His blood for you upon the cross, and who lives for you in heaven is. However the state of the soul may change, still Christ is our peace; whatever Satan may say, still Christ is our peace. He changes not; His work is perfect; what He has done abides forever, and God is glorified by that work. Shall not your heart respond with praise to these great words, "He is our peace"?
