JESUS gives a full redemption,
He is our peace;
From all judgment we’ve exemption,

From sin’s burden He relieved us,
From the chains of Satan freed us,

Now this is our consolation,

And we rest in His salvation,

‘Tis His peace the Saviour giveth;

Troubles thicken fast around us,

None of these shall e’er confound us,

Peace it is past understanding;

Though we sorrow, notwithstanding

Watching daily for His coming,
