Listen from:
When General Sherman traveled through the Southern States of America, he left a handful of men guarding rations in a fort in the Kenesaw Mountains. General Hood attacked the fort and for a long time the battle raged fearfully. Half the men were either killed or injured, and the general in command was wounded seven times. The troops were ready to surrender the fort when Sherman sent a message through a signal corps on the mountain: "Hold the fort; I am coming. W. T. Sherman." That message fired up their hearts. They held the fort till reinforcements came from fifteen miles away, and it did not go into the hands of their enemies.
As Christians we must remember that our Savior is in command and He is coming. We are instruced to hold the fort, to keep up the fight for he is coming.
