Hook, Line and Sinker”

Adam sinned and shut himself away from God because he thought more of what Satan offered him. He thought Satan a better friend to him than God; but he has since found out to his cost that the devil was a liar; that he never had the power to give him what he promised; and that by catching at the devil's bait he has received his hook, and that is: "The wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23²³For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23).
