Hospitality

And the Lord appeared unto [Abraham] in the plains of Mamre.
Abraham was resting during the hottest part of the day when he saw three men approaching. He ran to meet them, made them welcome and got Sarah his wife to make a good meal for them. Two of the men were angels. The third was the Lord Himself. Abraham showed himself a gracious host and was not afraid to give the best to his visitors. He didn’t give some old, tough goat on its last legs, but rather “a calf tender and good.” This is the way Christian hospitality should be too.
