Dear children, have you ever heard
That Christ the Lord will come,
With angers voice and trump of God,
To call His people home?
Then they who live shall changed be,
And they who sleep shall wake;
The graves shall yield their ancient charge,
And Christ His people take.
The saints of God, from death set free,
With joy shall mount on high;
The, heaven shall ring with praises loud,
They’ll meet Him in the sky.
Together to their Father’s house,
With joyful hearts they go,
To dwell forever with the Lord,
Beyond the reach of woe.
O, say, if He should come today,
Would you in terror be?
Or would you lift your heads with joy,
The blessed Lord to see?
O! children, seek the Saviour now,
The Saviour full of love;
And when He comes He’ll take you op.
To His bright home above.
