(ruins of Abarim). An Israelite encampment near Moab (Num. 21:11¹¹And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ije-abarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising. (Numbers 21:11)).

One of the later halting places of the Israelites on the S.E. border of Moab, translated in the margin “Heaps of Abarim” (Num. 21:11¹¹And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ije-abarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising. (Numbers 21:11); Num. 33:44⁴⁴And they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Ije-abarim, in the border of Moab. (Numbers 33:44)).
