I’m waiting for Thee, Lord,
I’m waiting for Thee, for Thy coming again.
Thou’rt gone over there, Lord,
A place to prepare, Lord,
Thy home I shall share at Thy coming again.
Mid danger and fear, Lord,
I’m oft weary here, Lord,
The day must be near of Thy coming again.
’Tis all sunshine there, Lord,
No sighing nor care, Lord,
But glory so fair at Thy coming again.
“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:11-12)
“And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.” (Revelation 21:25)

Whilst Thou art away, Lord,

Oh! hasten the day of Thy coming again.

A pilgrim confessed, Lord,
I wait to be blest at Thy coming again.

Be bright with Thy praise, Lord,

I’m waiting for Thee, Lord,
No triumph for me like Thy coming again.
