1 CHRONICLES 4:9, 10⁹And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. ¹⁰And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. (1 Chronicles 4:9‑10) 1CO 4:9-10⁹For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. ¹⁰We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honorable, but we are despised. (1 Corinthians 4:9‑10)

AND Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez [sorrowful], saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,

HIS FOURFOLD PRAYER ANSWERED

1. Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and

2. Enlarge my coast, and

3. That thine hand might be with me, and

4. That thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me.

And God granted him that which he requested.
