Last of Ahab’s line (1 Kings 21:21-29; 22:50; 2 Kings 1:17-18; 2-9). (2) Son and successor of Jehoshaphat on throne of Judah, B. C. 893-885. Murderer and Baal worshipper. Reign calamitous. Died a terrible death (2 Chron. 21).
