Jesus.

OH! Wonderful, beloved Son of God
Before all time, the Co-Eternal Son.
Who willingly did’st lay Thy glory by,
That God the Father’s perfect will be done.
I lay my heart, an offering at Thy feet,
Whose heart was pierced for me. O love complete.
Oh! Counselor, the Wisdom from on high,
Whose pure and peaceful arguments destroy
The wisdom of mankind; oh! living Word
That bringest life to men, and hope, and joy.
I cast my little learning in the dust,
To learn of Thee, and in Thy wisdom trust.
Oh! Mighty God, the blessed Three in One,
The unapproachable, enthroned in light,
Great Potentate, Who finest all in all,
Invisible, immortal, God of Might.
How can a mortal lift an eye to Thee,
Thou that inhabitest Eternity?
Oh! Everlasting Father, Name sublime,
That wraps in hallowed mystery, Bethlehem.
Thou, Who so loy dst the world, that
Thou did’st give Thy only Son, to live — and die for men.
I bow in awe, before Thy cradled Son
With Thee, the Father, and the Spirit — One,
Oh! Prince of Peace, oh! Jesus Christ my Lord.
Hope of a dying world, with sorrow rife;
Healer and Comforter, the faithful Friend,
Light of the lonely, Source and Fount of life,
Beneath Thy rule, earth’s age long strife shall cease.
Come! reign in righteousness, Thou Prince of Peace.
