Job 41:26‑29• 26The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
 27He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.
 28The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.
 29Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear. (Job 41:26‑29)
• {v.23-25} The arms and accoutrements of his rider clash against his sides as he rushes over the ground, “swallowing it” in his headlong speed. The noise of battle is music to him; he scents the battle from afar, the shouts of the captains and the clash of arms. Here is a beast, not exactly wild, but endued with all the strength and swiftness of the wildest. What part has Job had in devising and creating so remarkable a creature?
