Enjoying Thee, O blessed Lord,
What peace and joy Thou dost afford!
Unchanging grace, in Thee I find,
Such comfort and solace, peace of mind.
My soul shall ever joyful be,
In Jesus my Lord, who died for me;
Who ever lives for me on high,
Whose presence, we know, is ever nigh.
Oh! what a theme for endless praise!
Thy goodness, mercies, all Thy ways:
Thy grace and lovingkindness shown,
Thy love unto us made daily known.
Thy faithfulness from day to day,
Thy presence and Thy power alway,
To safely shield by Thy strong arm,
To shelter and protect from harm.
And every morning, how we see,
Thy new compassions, full and free—
We'll praise Thy faithfulness at night,
For leading us in the way aright.
"My soul shall be joyful in the Lord,"
Rejoicing always in His Word,
His promises sure, which cannot fail,
But ever for you, for me avail.
Nought else could give such peace of heart,
Nought else could grace and strength impart,
But simply relying on Thy Word,
And greatly rejoicing in the Lord.
"Rejoice, and then again Rejoice,"
This is our blessed Shepherd's voice,
The voice of our unfailing Friend,
Who will be with us to the end.
