Just Do It!

EXO 2:2-3²And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. ³And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink. (Exodus 2:2‑3)

SHE saw him . . . SHE hid him . . . SHE could no longer hide him, SHE . . .

Exodus 2:2-3²And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. ³And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink. (Exodus 2:2‑3)

Those verses sound a little funny with so much chopped out, so get out your Bible and read them completely through, then come back to this place. In Hebrews 11:23²³By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. (Hebrews 11:23) we read about the faith of Moses’ parents in hiding him when he was a baby, but in our verses the emphasis is on Moses’ mother who, with real faith and energy, did what had to be done for God’s glory. She had the courage to act on her faith. And so just as the Nike commercial says, “She just did it!”
