Wherefore we labor, that whether present or absent we may be accepted of [agreeable to] Him.
We labor. The Christian life on earth should always keep in view that one day we will be in the glorious presence of the Lord Jesus. We should live and work each day as if we were going to be in His presence that very day. We want all that we do to be agreeable to the Lord Jesus Christ. Whatever is worth doing at all for Christ should be done with our all for Christ.
