Cain went out from the presence of the Lord . . . and he builded a city.
Cain’s fit of temper ended in the death of his brother. God pronounces a judgment on Cain, and rather than being repentant, Cain turns his back on God and occupies his time and energy in building a permanent place to live away from God. The only place of blessing is when we walk with the Lord, in the light of His Word. Leaving God out of our lives will create a void that can never be filled.
