THERE is One nailed to a cross between two thieves, — the blood is trickling down His face from the pressure of the crown of thorns around His brow. Around Him are thousands of people gathered to watch Him die. Re cries, “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken Me.” It is the cry of a broken heart. And now “It is finished,” and the patient head is bent upon His breast — He dies. Who is it sinner? It is Jesus! the Son of God! the Saviour of the world! “The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.” Look to Jesus! Look away from everything to Him. He was there for sin. He is in heaven for sinners now. Look! There is life for a look at the Crucified One. “In Him was life,” You are “dead in trespasses and sins.” Look to Him and live. Look now with the eye of faith. “Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.”
